Clear offside.

I didn't see that game.

Got to be the most against the run of play goal I have ever seen. Well taken though.
-
We're losing every challenge, and giving the ball away when there is no challenge.

That you, Batman?

He does. Thought he had a good game today generally by his standards but that pass behind Ings was just shit. It was a simple pass to send him through, he found his man - as if that was enough - but it was behind him making him slow down to collect it and completely killing the momentum of the move, just brainless.

Pawson just been big enough to admit he got one wrong in WBA v Man U. We all know what twat features would have done in the same situation........

"Bertrand you dopey women." The irony of that sentence.

I'm amazed we have never lost 6 in a row before given what utter turd we were for years battling relegation. I definitely think we are better than some of those shit sides and whilst bad officiating doesn't excuse what have been some cr@p displays we should absolutely have had a penalty against Villa, and today if the pen against us is right (just about was imho) then we have to be given the Dendoncker one. So that's 2 of the 6 defeats that wouldn't have been (assuming we didn't fuck the penalties we should have been given up). None of this disguises the fact that though we look good in parts of games - usually in the first half - we look shit in other parts and our biggest issue for me is our utter cluelessness in breaking teams that sit back down. At no stage today after going behind did we really look like turning it around.
-
These officials are so shit. How could he not see that was our ball. Unbelievable.
-
We've looked gash in this 2nd half but what I really cannot stand is being done over by fucking referee/VAR incompetence/corruption AGAIN.
-
Didn't brush his thigh first though did it which - apparently - is absolutely key and makes it impossible for the hand ball to be in any way deliberate.

Excellent goal all round

Bald patches. FFS God if I have to lose my hair make it happen wholesale so I have no choice but to go for the full Jason Statham. Don't leave me with a thinning sunroof surrounded by thick coverage leaving me with all sorts of sweepover/gel/spray dilemmas. (words of a friend not me).

V Liverpool '81 or '82. 2 nil down inside first 20 minutes, think it was still 0-2 at half time. Won 3-2 Danny Wallace was on fire and Holmes scored an outrageous half volley from near half way line for the winner. An utterly superb game which gave me an unrealistic expectation that it would always that good going to the footy.............

Agree. Jack is alright, but I suppose that’s the point really we want and need better. Salisu looks like he ticks those boxes. Jack will do just fine as utility cover imho.

The very fact we are talking about the ref's performance tells you all you need to know about the magnitude of wanker that Mike Dean is.
-
Nice one. An excellent display that you worried would be undone by our usual failure to turn possession into chances and chances into goals. Armstrong I thought was great, Salisu really encouraging despite a couple of iffy moments, Forster looks like a new man (unhesitating well timed charge off the line to clear the ball, WTAF), and Tella showed in his brief cameo tonight why the club rate him and most on here haven't in his appearances so far. MOM for me though has to be Moss - a considered, uncontroversial, non-look-at-me-I-AM-IN-CHARGE, let the game flow performance from a ref who has previously demonstrated himself to be a bit incompetent but who ruled it fantastically tonight and - crucially - was big enough to accept when he'd got something wrong.
-
G T. F I. Superb from Tells snd Armstrong.

Kin ell Redmond.

Whilst that was silly I generally like the look of Salisu

How refreshing

Fair point, I have absolutely no idea how the sell on clause in DI's contract is structured (or even if there is one). I'd always assumed these things were based on a flat percentage of whatever the player gets sold on for, certainly would have thought that's what the original selling club would be looking for.
-
How does Liverpool having a sell on clause benefit us? Are you suggesting that it will spur us on to agreeing a higher fee than we otherwise would have done with whoever we sell him to and it is therefore a good thing that a sell on clause was inserted into his contract?
