I have grave reservations about the success of Lowe's experiment. If it goes well then I would be the first to admit I was wrong, and credit would go to him. To be honest, I can't see it. I think the man is a fool. It is good to see players playing for the shirt, but it is not enough. I hope I'm wrong, I really do.

Did his screen dad say 'language Timothy'. Comedy genius from the four-eyed midget boring talentless one from the 2 ronnies. A friend of mine took Mitchell and Webb to the Mayflower in his taxi. When it was time to pay up he said '5.35, that's numberwang'. The stuck-up duo weren't too impressed with his attempt at humour. Fred Dineage may be a skate, but he's a nice bloke.

We need to know these unknowns so they become known unknows, or just knowns.

He's got a better haircut than his old man.

Looks a decent signing.

rudi, don't worry. You told us the news came from a steward, therefore we all know it's ********. Backing down is not necessary. nickh has given me a little hope though.

I agree with your sentiments Weston. I don't see what anyone has to gain by bigging up another phantom bid. If the money doesn't come through, Merrington and Fulthorpe are going to look like a couple of melons.

Terry cared that much for England that he cried off the Croatia game with an injury, but was mysteriously fit to play for Chelsea 3 days later. He was also filmed laughing and joking on the bench that game when we were 3-2 down. Lost a lot of respect for him after that. Woodgate and Ferdinand were an outstanding partnership for Leeds. Ferdinand would have been my skipper. Terry, I'm not sure if I would have him in my first XI.

Admittedly, this one is a bit harder to rule out than the ones peddled by the aforementioned bullsh*tters (Saintlee excluded, at least his intentions were honest).
-
Previous tyre kickers also had registered offices. It didn't do them much good. Don't really see this as a big deal. Then again, this takeover business has really brought out the cynic in me.
-
Until they do the deal (which, to be honest is taking too long now), then a tyre-kicker is exactly what he is.
-
Don't get too excited. I think the club even gave 'chief tyre-kicker' Jackson free tickets.
-
He seems to have been given an access all areas pass. Still a tyre-kicker in my book though. Prove me wrong Dave.
-
Explain to me how they are adequate cover if they are not ready for the first team.
-
Why on earth was Merrington in and out of the players area. As far as I'm concerned, until he puts up the money he has no business being there. Getting really fed up with tyre-kickers.
-
Just like they couldn't compete last year with Paul Allen!
-
I hope your 'number of different sources' aren't some blokes down the pub.

I'd get her wetter than Roy Hattersley's chin given half the chance.

Cheers Dalek - at least I know the ignore function is working on the new forum now.

I occasionally get info from the head steward as well. I have never put it up for discussion as he has always been wrong.
-
I couldn't give a toss about Burley's drinking habits. Some of the greatest managers were/are ****heads - Clough and Ferguson to name two. What I do care about is his baffling team selections, his inexplicable treatment of Skacel and Rasiak, and his selection of the crap Leon Best for the play-offs. He gave me the impression that a never gave a sh*t about us.

I think the supposed interest from Reading for Surman is a load of ********. It's just a smokescreen to cushion the blow of losing Davies. 'Oh well, not too bad. We're keeping Surman'. We are being run by a pair of weasels.
-
Personally, I can see through back-tracking and PR bullsh*t. Especially after what he said yesterday. Face facts, he is just a yes man for Lowe.
-
Lots of assumptions there. I go along with the theory that he is a non-entity.
-
No thanks - would rather keep Davies. Just read this on the Ugly Inside http://www.clubfanzine.com/southampton/v2.showNews.php?id=13369 great article - well done Nick.
