As long as I was to get preferential treatment for a respiratory illness (as a non smoker) over a smoker then no, smokers should have just as much right to access NHS services.

This will be interesting, I can't wait to see this one go belly up! As one poster said above, a shocking amount of parents take no interest in their childs education; do people really think that schools will be better with them at the helm?!? All this will lead to is division within the teaching profession, division at the school(s) itself, a drop in the quality of teaching and strike action.

Now I am by no means saying that this is a purely 'White British' condition, but there always seems to be an air of 'them and us' about all of this. It seems to have been ingrained in the British psyche since about 1066!! It's a very 'hippy' thing to say but, we are all human beings at the end of the day, can't we all just get along!?!?!

IamLeGod and dune; you are BOTH correct to certain degrees: With out getting too 'history' on you, dune is correct in that we had an alliance with Poland which Hitler thought Chamberlain would never honour and IamLeGod is correct in so much as Britain was outraged by German actions after Kristallnacht towards German Jews and initiated the 'Kinder Transport' programme.

I live Colchester now but originate from a place in the New Forest right in the back arse of nowhere: Langley! Do you know it? No, so shut your mouth and **** off! I do know how people in small villages feel because I had to ****ing put up with their racist rants and un-educated logic for 23 years!! Even around Colchester in villages such as Brightlingsea, Ardleigh, Elmstead Market there are people who will vote BNP as many people (especially in Brightlingsea) think that immigrants are a threat to them when they're not!

You don't have to vote for the main 3 parties though Mike, on May 6th you will have a whole array of parties to vote for... A quick note about the poll on this thread; it is interesting to see the Liberals overtaking Labour, I could never imagine the LD as the opposition!

The way to do that is to deface your ballot paper Those who don't even bother to get up off of their fat lazy arses on May 6th have no excuses.

If they are not participating in the political process they have no right to moan, it is as simple as that - they had their chance to try and effect what goes on and they haven't taken it.

Those who choose "Don't intend to vote" - don't chuffing well moan about the policies that are initiated during the next session of parliament...
