Well not according to the OS at the time;). Yes, you are right he did,and also agree he'll still find a club at CCC level.

as opposed to when 'Arry was here and just (alledgedly) on 'the fiddle' !
-
Perhaps those 'contacts' in the City were only too well aware of what Lowe might be capable of. Perhaps this is why Rupert was no longer welcome at the Drones club and had to come out to the sticks where he could lord it over us peasants.

Conjures a wonderful Pythonesque image of 4 Americans (gum chewing etc in dark suits, dark glasses, the hats etc) and two Sicilian aquantances or distant family (dressed similarly),all carrying violin cases etc.

As well as giving us an indication of their wealth, can you give us a guide as to how "oversesas" they are ? EU overseas ? America,or Canada overseas ? Or far or middle-east overseas ? Or Soviet oligarch who was once overseas but now in London ?
-
As Lowe and Wilde are now nowhere to be seen,is Saint Leon's offer of £2m still on the table ? As Saints could now do with it,or even half or a quarter of it by next week.
-
Take it that was a rhetorical question Trousers ? There must be more financial geniuses per square mile on the Ch Islands than anywhere else in the world. And yet the best we attracted from there to date is Mikey 'COYR' Wilde !

But didn't LC also fuel some of the Allen speculation two years ago ? I'm not sure LC is such an impeccable source when it comes to such speculation frankly.Whilst he did not expressly state Allen was interested,he did little to quell the rumours once they reached a frenzied state when it must have been apparent within SMS that such hopes were really in cloud cuckooland.

Yes we will all agree with that. But I wonder if the timing of this is in anyway connected to the comments from Wilde that the Echo are also running.

Whichever way you look at it this is an outrageous admission by Wilde although clearly not intended to be so. He was complicit in clearing out a manager who had previously worked with young players at the U21 level and had experience of our league. The replacements were brought in to ' work with young players' but had no experience of our league. When it was obvious such a revolutionary coaching set up was a dismal failure he wanted to bring in a "British mananager" rather than appoint one of 'his' original choices.Surely this amounts to him recognising the original actions and appointment was an error ? Nowhere does the article contain an admission of getting it wrong nor apology. It seems to rank in the 'Kurt Waldheim league' of don't blame me, perhaps Wilde should add the rest saying he didn't really know what was going on. And perhaps he didn't,as he probably was not involved in the real decision making.

Would have been good when we first wanted him after relegation, but signed Hajto instead.Has he not been injured a lot in the last two seasons ? If injury free could be a good signing for L1.

World be warned : the first death due to an outbreak of 'skate flu'. More likely that Westwood is in intensive caredue to lice infestation, 'gypsy fever' , diddycoyitis, or just bellringers nipple.

Is this a cryptic clue ? Bryan or Otis Ferry perhaps ?
-
Just as long as our new owner does not come from the Isle of Excretia.

'The Millers Tale' providing the link ?
-
So is there any conection between the two sentences in bold,or are they completely independent of the other ?
-
Kevin Phillips ? Would certainly score goals but it won't happen for two reasons;we can't afford his wages and he probably remembers the vitriolic abuse dished out to him by Saints fans ever since he left.

Good shout...in the early 1990's.

I think I might have sat the same paper as you.I still recall the question "Discuss the contribution of Chaucer or Eliott to the rise and fall of Southampton F.C". Later learnt that Chaucer was a Wolves fan. http://www.wolves.co.uk/page/News/0,,10307~1300876,00.html

Agree. If anything though I think he would have been sacked sooner, but for the pending court case which left the club in an 'awkward' position on how to treat him at the time. RL was right to move Jones out,but I still think he did it in a clumsy and embarrassing way with all this 'compassionate leave' crap.

Another thing I can never forgive Hitler for,if it wasn't for his bloody silly antics the Skates would not have held on to the FA Cup for so long. This is often glibly overlooked by the national media when listing Hitler's faults.
-
I'd be a bit cautious on this, afterall we all thought this when Wilde first ousted Lowe and longterm things did not go the way we expected or hoped. The same was about Burley and we ended up with Dodd & Gorman.

It may just be particular to parts of Gloucestershire, but I often hear "tuth rather than "tooth" .

Ince ? Seriously ? Okay, and without wishing to be accused of racism, I'll black my face up and buy a ticket. As opposed to just buying a ticket and going anyway. Ince is a 'Billy Big B0llocks' who talks a big game.No real attraction or record of achievement to put numbers on the gate.

Yes.I believe this was decreed from on high. Had that lazy bastard Moses brought an eleventh tablet of stone down it would have said so. The twelth would have said "f^ck off Rupert, you beetroot cheeked spastic". This is the word of The Lord.
