I'm inclined to agree that he might not be the full prem article although I doubt Rickie Lambert,and of course his advisers -who will leech on any deal -will share that view.I would not blame him one iota for wanting to have a crack at it before the chance has gone forever. A lot will of course depend on the terms of his contract as to whether a transfer request is necessary.The contract may stipulate Saints are obliged to tell him if an offer is received from a higher division etc. No doubt Beattie,Bridge,even Kenwynne Jones probably made previous similar statements,but that can change with a phone call from their agent the next day.

Thanks for the guide on the BTL etc. To be honest,I can't really be bothered to enter into an exchange with a bunch of halfwits with no real notion as to what has happened at Saints and who believe we are still in the dark ages of Lowe etc. However as others have already pointed out I expect Marcus has/will cover a bit of a deficit this season,and God bless him for doing so is all I can add to that.

The disappearance of Central South is a loss to us.It used to give a reasonable coverage of Oxford,north Glos,Herefordshire etc. Since they axed it we now seem to sit on a fault line.Its either Central from Brum covering inner city sprawl and ethnic issues, or West Tonight( on analogue only) from Bristol and gravitating south into Somerset. Was used to watching Southern,and then TVS in the old days with its heart in the region.So Oxford-Maidstone etc seems completely out of place on your sets to me.
