It is good news, particuarly pleased with how my pension and ISA are doing, mostly self-funded of course unlike the public sector. Remember though that the FTSE is very much reflective of global markets which is why when you see a big drop elsewhere the FTSE will mirror it. Good news all the same, well done Rachel.

My sympathies. A few years ago our oven packed up on Xmas day, luckily we relocated everything to the Mother-in-Law who lived less than 5 minutes away. Probably the only time I was pleased she lived so close.

To be honest, if I walked through a hospital or a council offices, I would get a much more favourable view of the current government. It just highlights the difference between the public and private sector.
