I honestly thought the ref had a good game today. A lot of 50/50's didn't go our way, but the way he tried to play advantage was good. Will be one of the best we'll see in this league I suspect.

OK -9 but 10 points behind. Who, honestly, really honestly, thought that we'd still be 10 points behind after 3 games? I didn't, and no one I went to the game with did either. So that's 4... This thread is born out of pure curiosity.

Agreed, we don't need to create the atmosphere that we had last season, you could see the players were terrified of making a mistake.

I find it strange, because of his reputation of being a midfield nutter, that he's so poor. He should be getting booked every game, booting people in the air and scaring attacking midfielders in that position, but he doesn't. Why? I'd forgive him for being **** on the ball if he did that.

I was going to say you're a bit early, but not anymore. Yes, losing to Hudderfield is no embarrassment, but Brentford and Swindon I would expect to be below us at the end of the season.

I'm 27 so have had the same luck as you TDD. Regardless of what he got suckered into, he loves this club and words cannot describe just how good he was. There's so much you can say about him with his famous goal and alike. One of my strongest memories is Matty picking the ball up on our penalty spot and pinging a pass 'on-a-sixpence' for Nicky Banger to tap home from the opposing penalty spot. I think that may have been against Oldham, possibly. I also was lucky enough to meet him and Ted Bates after the last game at The Dell. He signed a shirt and Ted signed a photo.

I'm afraid that we don't need people like you for a season like this. In reference to the real thread: Yes, 'tiss nice (see what I did there?) I like him refering to us as 'we'. For the best part so far, since the takeover, it's really starting to feel like we're all heading in the right direction and (almost) seeing things in the same light. With the players coming in (the latest youngster sounds decent) and the way the club is presenting itself it's difficult to find moans. You can gauge this by the topic of thread that's poping up at the moment. Things like: Isn't the OS a bit **** and I don't like the video player, instead of really cutting topics relating to our players and staff.

I had a number for a guy through Saints Forever who used to do this. He was cracking! I gave him a bell after the Brizzle City match in the league cup circa 2002 because I was stuck after the trains had stopped for the night. He gave me a lift back to my doorstep.
