Added to that, it appears the FL will be using future TV/parachute monies to pay wages until the end of the season, but only of course if the skates go into administration, as opposed to being liquidated on Monday. Having said that, the court must follow the letter of the law (even if it means finding that the administration is invalid, and so liquidation and no money for the creditors).

If P*mpey get wound-up on Friday :Poll:

Actually, he begged to stay on, but Mark Fry told him to get lost. Then he walked away with his tail between his legs. -

No excuse. Anyone with half a brain would've gone into administration 4 days earlier, just to be on the safe side.

I find it inconceivable that Coventry, with a lucky draw, could be reinstated to go straight into the quarter finals without having won a single FA cup match. If the FA finds that P****y were insolvent during the Saints match (only) there could be an argument to reinstate Saints, but if their insolvency goes back to the Coventry and Sunderland matches then the only fair options are: 1) Coventry play Sunderland at home: winner plays Saints away: winner plays Brum at home; or 2) Give Brum a bye. There is not enough time for 1), so that leaves 2) if their insolvency goes back to the Coventry and Sunderland matches.

Ah, but this begs the question: does the FL have the authority to punish P****y for the crimes they committed while in the PL? Anyone know? I would hate to see them start life in the CCC with 0 points rather than -25 (or worse, which is what they deserve). Also, if they go into administration and their creditors get at most pennies in then pound back now, can these creditors get more money back from future Sky parachute payments?
-
Is this true? Can anyone confirm? More likely: Storryteller: Have you got £40M to keep us going til the end of this season and then a further £30-40M to wipe off further debts and invest in a CCC team stripped of any decent playing talent? SA consortium: Yes, absolutely! In fact we have much more than £40M available. Storryteller: Wonderful! Could you send us proof of funds by Monday? SA consortium: Yes, of course. The funds are locked up in account of my friend's late husband in Nigeria. He had Eighty Million USD ($80,000,000.00) specially preserved and well packed in trunk boxes of which only her husband and we knew about. It is packed in such a way to forestall just anybody having access to it. It is this sum that we seek your assistance to get out of Nigeria as soon as possible to buy Portsmouth football club before the present civilian government finds out about it and confiscate it just like they have done to all our assets. All you do is send us £50,000 to help for releasing of funds and expedite us to purchase your great club.

Interestingly Grant has only been paid once. Why is he still at the job? I wonder if perhaps in place of a salary he is getting tax-free image rights payments (sent to some overseas account)?
-
I guess the Court wants them to survive just long enough to get a good rogering on Saturday.
-
I believe it's scheduled to be after they get liquidated. So in other words, a draw is as good as a win (to get us to the next round).

Sacking Wotte 5 minutes after the takeover? -
It didn't take him long to get rid of Wotte. Anyway, back to the question. If we finish mid-table, win the JPT and get to the FA cup quarters (or beyond), AP will definitely not be sacked (this season ).

Don't forget Grandad's shorts (or should they be called longs).
-
I wouldn't know whether to laugh or cry.

And 3 of the "big four" are out. A nightmare scenario is if P****y somehow delay liquidation, and then get through to the semi-finals along with 3 lower division teams. Does that ring a bell?
-
5 allowed per match I think, almost half a team! So it's possible that they could cheat their way to victory on the 13th using a number of players whose wages will never be paid.

And lying that he knew nothing about the sales of Kaboul and Bergovic.

I'm Minty. And I want my user name back. -
And to add to that, we didn't launder and spend blood money to avoid relegation, as well as buy the FA cup. P****y are now so morally corrupt as a club that they would willingly take money from Kim Jong-il if they had the chance.
-
They probably won't be paid. Think of them as one month loans (just long enough though to hurt us at SMS ). Spot on. We'll have mixed emotions if they're liquidated after knocking us out of the cup. I don't think they'll much care about being liable as they sip champagne on some beach in Dubai. And if my Auntie had balls she would be my uncle.

Even if the liquidator voids the transactions, they won't get the money back because the money will probably be in some overseas accounts, and the skates' owners will have scarpered just before P*****y is liquidated.

So is he cup-tied for the FA cup? -
The question should be.... will PFC be there?

At least they didn't wait until after the date when the point deduction would carry over to the next season. No Chairman would be that stupid/vindictive. Oh.
