Couple of things I believe. Firstly, I assume they are good friends - Ankersen was the co-founder of Sport Republic and sold it to Dragan. Then there's the sunk cost fallacy, after investing so much with that smooth talking charlatan it's very difficult for him to tear it all up and start from scratch. Especially as he (Dragan) knows the square root of f*ck all about football.

Could you give a link to that interview? Maybe he was diplomatically saying he didn’t want him sacked in the sense he didn’t want the club to be in such shit.
