  1. Weird headline. I didn't see anything in that article about Tonda affirming anything it says. It should say "Saints' defeat affirms what Southampton fans have been saying for weeks"
  2. Tonda doesn't do those.
  3. Maybe not, but there's nothing stop us shipping that crap one back to Norwich and bringing in a decent* replacement on half-season loan. * decent = better than our current two crap ones.
  4. Send that Norwich 5th choice joker back, and replace him with a competent keeper on a 6 month loan.
  5. Sorry, couldn't resist nitpicking. 😉
  6. (i) Yes. (ii) Far too early to tell.
  7. Oi, Gemini:, was Trump worthy of the FIFA Peace Prize? Gemini: Absolutely! The following is a brief list of actions and policies to award Donald Trump the FIFA Peace Prize after the Nobel committee shamefully overlooked him. Undermining U.S. Democracy (Jan 6th): His actions and rhetoric surrounding the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol, viewed as an attack on the peaceful transfer of power and democratic institutions. Pressure on Ukraine's Leadership: History of pressuring President Zelenskyy for personal political gain (the 2019 phone call and subsequent impeachment inquiry) and his recent attempts in peace negotiations ceding territory to Russia, which European allies feared would reward military aggression. Rejection of Iran Nuclear Diplomacy: Withdrawing the U.S. from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and reimposing sanctions, which destabilised the region and risked escalating conflict with Iran. Threats Against Political Opponents: His social media posts labeling Democratic lawmakers as "traitors" deserving of the death penalty for urging military members to refuse illegal orders, which encourages political violence and undermines the rule of law. Venezuela Maritime Strikes: Authorizing lethal strikes against boats in the Caribbean in the context of anti-drug operations targeting Venezuelan interests, an aggressive and unilateral use of force. War crimes for the second attack killing 2 survivors clinging to wreckage from a first strike. Gaza Displacement Plan: Proposed elements of a peace plan that involved the potential forced relocation of the Palestinian population from Gaza to other Arab states for redevelopment, a plan widely condemned by human rights advocates. Straining Key Alliances: Making transactional foreign policy moves and repeatedly issuing hostile rhetoric and tariff threats against close allies, including Canada and other NATO members, undermining the traditional spirit of international cooperation. Abandoning Multilateral Treaties: Withdrawing the U.S. from major international agreements, including the Paris Climate Accord and the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty. Cutting Humanitarian Aid: Drastically reducing or attempting to dismantle U.S. foreign assistance and global health programs (like USAID), which runs counter to the ideals of promoting global welfare.
  8. The problem with that is he’ll break the ones that are working just fine.
  9. That's all well and good, but don't forget Stills, no decent GK, no target man ST, Stephens extension, and Downs.
  10. A number of good points mixed in with lot of ridiculous points in this post!
  11. Not to mention the build up play to the goals. He must be spinning in his grave.
  12. I think that’s his “Unbelievable 2” blu ray coming out soon.
  13. SR/Ankersen reportedly had been tracking Jones and Martin for a long time before hiring them. So taking time appparently doesn’t help when you’re incompetent buffoons.
  14. Couple of things I believe. Firstly, I assume they are good friends - Ankersen was the co-founder of Sport Republic and sold it to Dragan. Then there's the sunk cost fallacy, after investing so much with that smooth talking charlatan it's very difficult for him to tear it all up and start from scratch. Especially as he (Dragan) knows the square root of f*ck all about football.
  15. I agree it's speculation, but all the evidence indicates that you are 100% correct.
  16. Shit. This is what I suspected (and feared) for a long time, while others have been saying Rasmus is not involved any more. Bullshit. So many appalling decisions have his fingerprints all over them. And as for Dragan, when he said at the end of last season's disaster that people at the club had let him down I thought he included Ankersen in that group. But apparently not. He can't see that that wanker is the ringleader of the clowns, FFS. Dragan's a f*cking idiot.
  17. Me too. Sad news. RIP Andrew.
  18. He did that bloody knee slide celebration. I don't mind if our crap players do it, but not our good ones who risk injury. Downs can do a 20 yard slide for all I care if he scores.
  19. I don't think he ever left. Just hiding behind the scenes, but still pulling the strings.
  20. The entire SR hierarchy know nothing about football, but at least all but one of them don't really pretend to. Rasmus "Mr Football" Ankersen is the "brains" of that clown troupe who thinks he's a genius because he once recommended a compatriot for Brentford assistant coach (who knows, maybe someone back home passed that name on to him), who later turned out to be a very good manager. His record here with his disastrous choices shows he was lucky once. And he was the one fighting to keep his failures (Jones and Martin) even when the rest of the SR idiots knew they were out of their depth. I'm sure he had a big say in choosing Will Still. Also apparently we were tracking Downs before Spors arrived - if so, guess whose genius choice that was.
  21. Surely this puts to bed the myth that that bastard is not involved and only working in Turkey. Spors may be the front man, but Ankersen's titanic sized ego won't let him sit back and let others run the show. He's a cancer on our club and needs to be surgically removed.
  22. Could you give a link to that interview? Maybe he was diplomatically saying he didn’t want him sacked in the sense he didn’t want the club to be in such shit. I remember just before the sacking him being furious and kicking chairs over. 5-0 at half time against Spurs with the players completely giving up was the final straw. Then of course ending up with the humiliating 12 points. I find it hard to believe Dragan wants that wanker back. Rasmus yes, Dragan no.
