  1. We should try to sign Tracy Austin very good on the volley I believe
  2. leon best will soon fall out of bed once his honeymoon perod is over. Defenders will soon be able to read his game. he is not a potent striker. Even skatchel has found his playing level again with hearts. Oh an another saints favoutrite Yoan Folly was doing okay with Aberdeen till he broke his leg last week. Hearts and berdeen are not exactly premiership let alone championship levels of teams I was not impressed with best and just because he scored a hatrick lastnight does not change my mind one bit
  3. is there really narrow minded saints fans intimating you can not be a saints fan unless you have an SO post code How sad. Does that now mean Im not entitled to be a saints fan anymore and there was me thinking I was a true Saint My story was in the exeter programme. "Home thoughts from abroad"
  4. Just my view doddsie , Chaplow was a close second for me. I love players snapping at the oppositions ankles reminds me of one of my all time favourites Brian O'Neil . shame I have a two day journey home tomorrow as I miss being at games on a week by week basis, I have seen ten games so far this season, yes that was me in the programme yesterday
  5. Miserable new year to you alpine. Were you at the game yesterday, if you had been then you would have been impressed with Rickie lambert. try and not excerbate your ANTS condition this year , its not good for you. Rickie was my MOM followed closely by spiderman. By the way I was at the match
  6. forgot to mention guly. I think he can be a little greedy , there was one time just before he scored his first that he should have laid the ball out to llanna but Im not moaning as a made a few pounds by betting on him to score the first goal
  7. I enjoyed the game apart from a spell in the 2nd half when we allowed the yokels to come at us It could have been a lot more than just 4 - 0 mom was a close rune thing spiderman chaplow and a few others but for me my mom is Rickie Lambert , he did every thing but score . made himself available won load sin the air , laid goals and passes on and but for the yokels putting there bodies in the way of his shots he would haave scored 2nd and upwards
  8. Im looking to a 5-1 win
  9. I see Dubai Phils article on the ANT syndrome article is based on saints fans judging by the comments on many threads on here
  10. I had an inkling there might have been saints fanls were amongst the huddersfield fans the guy in front of me in the itchen kept ringing someone and then waving to someone in the huddersfield end. I thought they were relatives of his, one was certainly a female . I did ask myself whu they were there as there were seats free just along fron this fan still if they huddersfield fans then they were right to be where they were, Another questioned answered for me was the Kenny Dalglish being there. Fans in front of me kept looking towards the directors box now I know why. Im looking forward to the exeter game. hoping for at least a 5-1 win
  11. Delldays I guess if the cap fits wear it, but I wasnt directing my comments at you. its the week in week out brigade that constantly find fault in our players. Im glad that MLT retired a few years back as there would be certain posters on here who would be moaning about his ability. Patience is a virtue when it comes to watching saints. Take puncheon he is a good player who frustrates some of our fans but then goes to pastures new and is loved by his new supporters. I wish we had never got rid of Kevin davies but we did, Rory Delap is playing well for stoke yet for some of our fans he was ****e.
  12. Rory I agree with others on here you are totally clueless. Guly had a good game. He had chances that should have hit the back of the net but they didnt . The header he had early on was saved by the keeper from where I was sat in the itchen, another couple of inches and it would have found the back of the net, Im saddened but not suprised that some on here take great pleasure in slagging off players week in week out even when we win.
  13. Thoroughly enjoyed todays game, I loved the chant 1-0 up and you f**ked it up very funny. what was the handbags at 6 paces between the huddersfield fans? and the old bill with the camera took ages to get into a position to film their fans. As for the game a great alround performance and I did feel it wasnt going to be our day when we failed to convert a couple of chances early on and they missed a sitter before scoring. but we fought back got the equaliser thru sir rickie. we should have had three before half time but the ball smacked against the crossbar. Second half was excellent for the first 30 minutes and then we seemed to shut up shop that was a sensible tactic but i would have liked a further goal or two. As for Guly he is an intelligent and skilfull player but lacks the killer instinct in front of goal but that is posibly something that can be worked on in training. get off guly's back and get behind him
  14. Jaidi by a mile
  15. Gemmel Its you that is being unreasonable by not accepting other posters points of view. You seem to pour scorn on others posters points if I am talking ****e the you are full of diahrreoa. The hunt is something that is british , While I do not agree with the actual kill of the fox. There is something seasonal about the gathering of the the fox hunt or what ever the PC word is for it. The way the treat animals overseas is far more barbaric than anything we see in the UK. Even hunting is banned in scotland at present due to the cold weather and the effect on wildlife. It wouldnt happen in europe or the america or canada.
  16. smirking saint your5 being rather classist re foxhunting, and I understand where your coming from. I have and never wil go to fox hunting but theres more than just the gentry that take part. Im from the country side and there are as many working class that attend these events Oh what is your view on badger baiting, the poor mans fox hunting event. both are barbaric but badger baiting is far more hideous in my opinion
  17. Kadeem I do get it mate. but there is a balance to be struck in this debate. In the event we were all forced to eat salads due to eating meat and fish being banned, you can guaranantee that some extreme group would come to the fore saying eating salads was cruel because lettuce leaves, cucumbers, tomatoes had feelings and a right to life. It may seem ridiculous but it will happen
  18. Kadeem I think you are overdosing on camomile tea. Some of the nativy stuff is true. try hugging a tree but make sure it gives you permission to hug it first or you will be sued for tree harassment. You also need to carry out a risk assessment first incase you give to strong a hug and a rotten branch falls on your head during your moment of high sensitivty and connection with the tree
  19. Your being very harsh liquidshok , Go to france or any other european country and see the way they treat animals and birds. If you attend a market in France , chickens , ducks, rabbits are crammed in boxes and cages to be sold . I never hear of any body moaning about that practice, Go to Greek Cyprus and see the way they treat their cattle and chickens etc, oh and while your there open your eyes wide open and see the barbaric hunting process of wild life there. They use nasty traps for animals and Lime sticks to catch birds. the cypriots will eat almost anything or kill anything. Ever wonder why there is a diminishing bird life in this country well I believe a lot has to do with illicit hunting in mediteranean countries using things like lime sticks. If you wan to moan liquid have ago at the real perpertrators of animal and wild life cruelty. I havent even mentioned the chinese ethos od eating anything that moves. Some hunting activities in the Uk need to be reviewed but we are nowhere as bad as some of our european neighbours
  20. In many ways Dune is right we do need to see british traditions maintained, Even the cheese rolling competition has ceased due to health and safety reasons . Bring back conkers instead of banning them or making kids wear safety glasses etc etc etc THere were schools who apparently banned nativity plays or anything to do with the christian christmas festivities/ carols in case it offended others. Now I have no idea how true this is, as it was reported in a few of the popular press publications.
  21. Great Photo's of traditional old england , My only moan not a saints shirt to be seen Lol
  22. Be fair to Alpine about losing the ashes after one days play. Thats a sign of him being optomistic. Had he forcast a 5.0 drubbing after 5 overs then that is more consistent with alpines predictions Rickie Lambers call for an england place was not far out at the time . what other english centre forward do we have? heskey wo only scores once every decade, Keven davies was to little to late
  23. You should have Joined the blue jobs TDD, they always take xmas off. Thats why the rest of the services rely on navy pilots to fly them around
  24. I read the the jersey article re breasts Did the manager honestly say the folowing? "At the end of the day I decided that I'm the most politically correct individual in the business, some of my girls in the office might laugh at that, but it is true so I decided to handle the matter myself." So he removed the breasts from the scales!!!!!
  25. Gemmel Much of what you have leaned from Google is correct (although when it comes to the CAB they only hear once side of the story when advising disenfranchised employees) i do not know what the exact contractual status is for footballers in this country . many foreign footballers appear to have nom residence tax status judging by issues intimated by that bunch of crooks down the road. Tevez is another example where his contractual status is somewhat blurred The general spirit of Employment law applies to most industries including footbal whether this is UK or EEC legislation. In respect of football managers and players it is the nature of the contract that is important what has and what hasnt been included in the individuals contract. Remember an employee can only claim for unfair dismissal if they have been in the job for over a year (qualifying period) and two years for redundancy/ not many managers get to claim for unfair dismissal certainly Big Sam couldnt claim it . Unless he was going down the wrongful dismissal route but thats a different element of law. Footballers do use employment laws to seek fairness. Take the Blackpool player that sued his employers for wrongful deduction of wages? Blackpool got promoted and x player got a pay increase and bonus but sued the club as they didnt pay him a contractual term that he would also get a bonus if the club didnt get relegated. they didnt and they eventually paid up this bonus. Most playing staff footballers will have non disclosure clauses in their contract and like big business compromise agreements will be used as a parting of the ways as per AP On another note Casual workers. There is no mutually obligation to provide or accept work on either party. is this a reason we never saw anything of Pulis as he was only a casual worker?
