  1. Just take three from the Chapel, three from the Kingsland, three from the Itchen and three from the Northam. have a lottery system. Be quite fun.
  2. Let's imagine that we do start next season and thay we start with -25. Given that it would be an impossible task to finish safe, and therefore full in the knowledge that the season after we would be in league two, what would the attendance be next season? I can't see it being more that 15,000 average. Which would mean the financial woes of the club would continue. This really is turning out to be the worst piece of sh!te.
  3. T0sser extraordinaire. it has just crossed my mind that Lowe might be the mysterious backer, perhaps through a proxy, and he has no intention of buying the club so he is just going to shaft us one more time. ****
  4. it is a fair point, but any investor has got be looking longer than one or two seasons. First off, they get the stadium and staplewood outright - no mortgage (as I understand it) so they are actually buying physical assets. But more importantly they must understand that it will be years before they see a return on the football investment. So in that perspective, what is ten points? Nought.
  5. Further, this is not a normal business deal. As others have said we are part of a members club. And if our players all leave it will be impossible to form a new team with even a snow-balls chance in hell of performing well next season. This is what it is all about. Once that transfer window closes we had better have 11 men to put out otherwise there is no point!
  6. trousers, either way next season is a total write-off anyway. If the players get a nice juicy offer from championship clubs - and I'll bet you all I own that some of them will have been contacted by their agents already - then they can now just pack the bags and bugger off. Would you go to a championship club which is stable and can actually pay you if you could? No brainer. So we are very likely going to start next season with a skeleton squad which will be totally unprepared for the season. Yet again, the season will be about survival, not promotion. But i'd rather we had a scrap in league one than the whole club folds completely. This is not the time for willy-waving over legal technicalities. This is about making sure that SFC remains in business and preferrably in the Football League too.
  7. Sorry Tony, you've been decent to keep us all informed and I thank you for that. But now both your credibility and that of the mysterious backer is on the line. You seem to have the money in place. You have already spent a tidy sum which shows commitment. You have lined up MLT to be chairman You have obviously spoken to some big-hitters for the manager's role. All these things are very positive, which is why I believe I can speak for the whole fan base when I say that we are all 100% behind you. However to scupper this deal over a lowsy 10 points is crazy. We fans don't give a monkey's. Ten points. So what? Big deal. And we don't care about whether the club was or was not actually in administration. We want our club to survive and we want to watch football next season. If the FL want to be plonkers, let them. Life is too damn short. Just accept it and sign the deal. Otherwise your reputation and credibility will drop quicker than a pompey tart's knickers when the fleet docks. Sign today, for heaven's sake.
  8. Looks like we will be kicked out of the FL and be reduced to the Blue Sq. The players are all free agents now that the club has defaulted on their contracts. Pinnacle are not going to win this one and even if they do it will take too long in the courts. The FL are going to dig their heals in. What a total load of ******. Good news for which ever club finished runner-up in league 2 as they will be promoted to league 1. ******. This is crap
  9. I can now confirm that my potatoes are cooked, drained and plated.
  10. ****. weird *****. did this happen in Blighty? kinda missed it.
  11. Exactly! what are the italians complaining about? I'd happily swap Berlusconi for Brown any day of the week. Bring some colour into British politics.
  12. 'tis a good point. tinned spuds aren't that bad. just expensive compared to home-grown ones.
  13. remind me who this hound is?
  14. Master Bates, seriously, how sticky is your keyboard? You do keep a box of kleenex nearby don't you? But I must agreel. She is a fox. A naughty fox, for sure. And a fox who deserves a damn firm spanking by some Italian prison guard....
  15. Ah? Salted water eh? Then roast them eh? Never thought of that before. Sounds like a good idea, sort of like a pseudo-roastie! thanks for the tip.
  16. Gordon Brown. Some of his budget forecasts are priceless.
  17. I have just put some new potatoes on the boil to go with my fish fingers. I will let you all know when they are done.
  18. I still reckon that Pinnacle will pull through and sign on the dotted line. The thing that concerns me though is that the lads are well into pre-season training now and they haven't a clue who their boss will be and who will be paying their wages. This is hardly the most ideal situation. They must be turning up to staplewood each day with a tonne on their minds, the coaching staff too (what's left of them). What we need more than anything is to get the deal sorted, get the new manager appointed (KK hopefully), get MLT nice and comfy in the boardroom, get the STs sold and turn a fresh new leaf in the history of our football club. Then we can all show up to the first game against Millwall and know that the previous turmultuous few years are well and truly behind us and get off to a cracking start to the season. The longer the deal is left unsigned, the less preparation and the less ready we will be to start the long road back to our rightful place in the Prem. Come on Pinnacle, get the deal done!
  19. she is trying to strong-arm them into giving her the dosh
  20. Yes. Pinnacle will definitely be our new owners for the 2028/29 season. Bring it on!
  21. There are two things going for the pinnacle bid: 1) MLT is inolved 2) They have already paid £500,000 non refundable, which shows they are serious
  22. This loop hole was closed a few years back. Now the directors of a limited company are responsible for the company's debts.
