We were tactically inept with wide open spaces down out left flank, Shaw would have done better than Baines but the left back needs some help from the midfielder and Rooney was no help at all. I am also rather underwhelmed by Gerrard and Henderson. Hopefully we can tweak the formation and include a few different players otherwise we're going out I fear.

Yes I fully agree. People seem to have forgotten just how much Adkins did for us - and then he was treated in an appalling manner by Cortese. I doubt he would have left us for Spurs or similar in the way that MP has done.
