I very much agree with this - and I am hopeful that we will head in this direction with the aim of 50 per cent of the first team home grown and English. There is too much speculation, not least on this forum, about us buying overseas players and not enough thought about bringing in good English youngsters like Ince.

I am very disappointed - poor captaincy in not bringing Ervine back - poor bowling - towards the end a majority of deliveries did not need to be played by Kent.
