  1. In this article at the BBC website on the need to train more coaches in the game, Kevin Davies writes a lot of sense and gives interesting insights from the game. "TRAIN MORE COACHES TO REVIVE THE LOVE OF THE GAME" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24523343 Uefa A licence coaches by country One of the 11 outdoor training pitches at St George's Park Spain: 12,700 Germany: 5,500 England: 1,161 If there are so many coaches in Spain can see why Pochettino came along with a number of colleagues when he arrived at Saints.
  2. Wonder how long Shaw will be able to stay clear and recovered from his latest dose of nachomatosis
  3. A total disgrace and no wonder the Premier League want nothing to do with it.
  4. Even Reuters are singing our praises. http://uk.reuters.com/article/2013/10/07/uk-soccer-england-idUKBRE9960B120131007
  5. MOM - Boruc for me. Seeing is believing and finally the end result is matching all the Pochittino bravado. A massive win against a very hungry Swansea side. Well done to Danny Fox who was the right choice even had sick note been available. Meethinks we'd do well to cash in on Shaw while the iron is still hot. Adam was immense for us and nothing pleases me more than to see him recapture his form.

  7. Burnley 1 versus Reading 0 and Billy Sharp's not even on the bench today.
  8. Why not buy them all one of these new Samsung Smart TV plug ins. Should go down a bomb http://www.theonion.com/video/new-wearable-computer-also-sucks-your-****,33017/ Or try the first video on this page http://www.theonion.com/search/?q=samsung

  10. David, am I confusing us playing United in the FA CUP in 1963 when I mention about George Best? Do you have the Manchester United team that day? My best ever memory was the Forest Cup game and how we came back in the last 10 minutes to earn a reply at White Hart Lane. Everyone was so dejected and felt we were out till the mighty George Kirby rekindled hope and we ended up drawing 3-3. I too was at the Dell, at White Hart Lane and at the heart breaking game at Villa Park. That game at the Dell taught me never to give up hope in a game and often has me calling on the ghost of George to work hisd magic for us.
  11. The official Dell record was 31,044 but the unofficial number would have been nearer 35,000 with all those getting in over the turnstiles, the emergency exits and back door. "Watch my Bobby's legs" was the scream of a Man U female supporter that had the Milton in hysterics. It resulted with Saints supporters all mimicking her every time Charlton got the ball. Having seen George Best play was one of those once in a lifetime experiences. Wasn't it his first game for United that day?

  13. We aren't sinking like a stone! Just the tables show the reality after all teams have completed 6 games. Was so happy when Mourinho returned but now sick to the teeth and wish he'd clear off back abroad. He's become a moron and no comparison to the fun loving and amusing José who was popular 7 years ago
  14. Man City getting beat by Villa
  15. Reading 2-0 Birmingham. Another goal from Guthrie
  16. This reverse psychology on here really works. Fantastic to see the goals going into the back of the net.
  17. Another load of pre-match Pochettino b o llo cks. Can't wait to hear his excuses after the game if this display continues. Nice to see Guthrie's put Reading 1 - 0 up against Brum. Reading with ex Saints Guthrie, Baird and Bridge in line up and Sharp on the bench.
  18. He did wear rainbow laces last week playing for Chester. He mentioned on Twitter before he wrote his article MODS: What the hell is this topic doing on the main board. The original started last December was moved to the Lounge where such discussions should be.
  19. This topic has been going on here since Dec 2012. Check out the thread and comments then http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?35503-Britain-s-gay-footballers#.UkWxtFOtu6Y 31 12 2012 jackcork1 Jack Cork Just watching bbc3 now. Don't think it would be an issue with the players at our club if someone came out. Interesting programme.
  20. Your initial post asked if any players wore the rainbow laces. I replied "Danny Higginibothan did"!!!!
  21. Danny Higginbotham did and wrote an article of the subject http://twentyfour7football.com/gay-straight-or-bisexual-who-cares-17325
  22. Funny clip of Sharp warming up at Reading and getting clipped on the back of the head by a ball, somewhat like Harry once had happen in an interview.
  23. Clear to see why Pochettino uses an Interpreter. When he finally gets around to speaking for himself my advice to him would be " keep your mouth shut and let the players do the talking on the pitch"
  24. Don't see anyone taking into account the thousands of Jason Puncheon fan club members. I too would be pi ss ed off not be able to sing the crowd rousing ditty created in his honour. What are they going to do with all the bog rolls they purchased to throw at him!!!
  25. Guess the delay is because they're waiting for the end of the month so the end of the loan comes at the start of the next transfer window. Could be Reading have offered to buy Sharp if the loan is a success and they're right up there with a chance of promotion.
