I thoroughly agree with this sentiment, especially in view of our lack of goals and Pochettino's deluded opinion that he's improving things. I can never recall Puncheon playing up in front of Ricky and Rodriguez. I seem to recall he mostly played out on the right wing with a great collaboration with Clyne , that with speed he either went round players on the line or managed successfully to win corners. Alternatively, he's moved inwards across the pitch passing players and often trying to score or losing the ball.

Can't people get it into their thick skulls that our players are playing to Pochettino's orders. If they don't he doesn't select them. Rodriguez played okay yesterday but like so many others in the team he's not playing his natural game and doing what he knows best. How can he or Ricky score when they are pushed out of prime goal scoring positions so Osvaldo is in prime position.

In the England Under 21's game Shaw did a magnificent job of pin point placings from corners and free kicks. If JWP is playing then naturally he must take therm. Why do we fans spot the problems, even come up wth solutions and Pochettino is devoid of action or ideas.

Great read Saint Charlie, thanks for posting. Did you or anyone come across Jose Mourinho's comments on how in England we have a need to create a system whereby the young players in England need to be playing 50 competitive games per season. Not just young players making up Under 21 teams but teams where they are mixed with experienced and older players. Seems that setting up new Reserve or B team leagues is what needs to be put in place. Even better, where such teams could enter the present league system if they're good enough.

He sure does. We're not the same team without Morgan and Jack linking up in the middle. I worry that Luke needs to beware of distraction and goes off the rails. He's made a tremendous rise to where he is today, maybe too much too fast. For myself he needs to take a leaf out of his colleague James Ward-Prowse book, who is a model young professional both in and out of playing.
