Who of these players can score goals, has scored goals for the first team. Goals are what we are lacking for some time so why do we ignore a player who can score goals. Who is the player who prevented Sharpe being picked after the return from pre season last year. Who influenced the manager at the time?

All of you who claim to know all about Billy Sharpe and his situation at Saints please answer this. Who are/is the players/player who didn't want Sharpe in the team at the start of last season, the playerts/player who left the club no choice than to ship Sharpe out on loan. What is the political reason he was shunted aside? For example, was Sharpe given a choice between his foundation activities and playing. For a professional footballer even I feel/felt Billy was too involved in his foundation and in the clubs place would have had words with him or requested he cut back or choose. Billy had to wait till June 10th to meet up with Pochettino. By that time the tour squad had be decided. Yet, from then Billy returned to the club and began training based on Pochettino accepting he would fight to play for the first team. Radhi stated he was working extremely hard in training with the Under 21 squad, whereas Saint Charlie told us he was at home doing nothing.

More lies and only your opinion. Nothing to back you up. Sharp, when asked said he wanted to fight for his place and Pochettino has given him that opportunity. Nothing is to say players given numbers won't be shipped out or any player without a number won't be involved at a later date.

Yes but does show that one or two on here, stating they knew what he was doing, i.e, told he was leaving, at home, not training etc.. were talking, (as usual) absolute b*ll*cks. He's been working hard training under Radhi since he returned 2 July and later spoke with Pochettino who told him they'd speak again after the tour. Billy's Foundation work is causing a distraction and this very weekend he was up north raising thousands where he may have done better to be available to play for the under 21's

For me Pochettino's reputation or lack off is the number one reason we haven't moved faster on signings. I am concerned that none of the Spanish players he was reputed to be after have shown any interest or rejected linking up with him.. That includes former players who played for him. He will need to show big results before players and proof of getting where our ambitions state before players will come

One of our bigger options of scoring goals is Clyne linking up with Puncheon down the left. With Clyne not present we lacked chances that could have given us the goals we needed. Anyone discovered what is up with Clyne or why he has been absent?

I think many saying boldly we will get a striker have forgotten last year on how we were going to get a defender. Same determined posting that it will happen, a certainty.. I hope that we do sign a striker, because, if not we'll be damned at how things are progressing under Pochettino since the end of his period of grace last season.

Billy joined Saints as a stepping stone to a new life, a life away from the 18 months he and his wife prior underwent tragically losing their first child, a son every man dreams of as being his fulfillment in life. Where are the statements from the club that he was incapable of making a go in the Premiership? Are we to rely on the hatred statements from fickle minded kids posting on here, who don't don't know a thing about life beyond sitting at a computer day in, day out. spouting complete and unfounded nonsense? Those who have followed Billy's fight back against his tragedy. his work towards his foundation and finally succeeding with his wife in having another son might realise leaving the club was not only due to playing football. but in part to return up north and family and to safeguard the life of his new born son. May your hatred towards a really nice return to you a hundred fold. To Billy Sharp and others I shall always be indebted for doing so much to getting SFC back into to Premier rank of English football.

Thoroughly agree that we shall know at the end of the season. We have had a lot of talk, but to date, the results at the end of the matches don't show his tactics and choice of players are world class.

Thoroughly agree Glasgow-Saint he does deserve a chance. What gets me is he's the one outsider at the club who Pochettino hasn't even given a trial with the first team squad. We need goals yet the man who scored the most last pre season is cast aside. Playing with inferior players in the Championship is no way to judge if a player can succeed in the Premiership.
