It's Wednesday. Does anyone have any update after contacting the daughter and sisters?

Looks like team mates to me!

What's the odd's like Delgado he gets injured and we can't sell or play him. You couldn't make it up with some South America players. Guly's not much better than Delgado for injuries

BBC R4 "The last word" - on the life of Ron Davies this Friday
ART replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Many thanks for the info Duncan. Must get to listen. -
I moved to Montpellier, southern France in 1973. I have used it since as my European home base, originally for tax, unemployment and pensions possibilities. The UK holds many reasons to steer clear once you live abroad. Over the years I lived and worked in more than 20 countries, many not contributing to unemployment or pension, yet retained my home base for when I was unemployed, holidays, and in between jobs. The French government take these periods into consideration unlike the UK when paying unemployment and pensions. Reaching retirement I have been able to centralise my pension, received full medical and social benefit. These are considerations you have to make for the future of your family if moving overseas. Check for any co-operation over pension etc between South African companies and European companies.

Have read that Ron is expected to be cremated. No more fitting send off would be for Ron's ashes to be scattered on the pitch at St. Mary's. Sadly not the Dell but would signify that Ron would be in our midst forever. Following that I am certain a statue or at very least, a memorial plaque be erected at St Mary's will be the wish of every Saints fan. Thank you Tim for all you did for Ron on Saints fans behalf and really delighted despite this sad moment to have you back posting again.

Nathan Clyne is "very close'' to Shaw. Can now understand Luke's back trouble more easily

A great call and how he wasn't there from the start must have hurt the king himself.

Seems he has spoken with them whilst making inquiries about a player. Was the inquiry genuine or a ruse for them to offer him the job. All gone quiet today except for UK media copy of reports.
-
If you'd read the thread you'd see that it is being reported in Spanish and Portugese papers and links to the articles have been posted.
-
Well said. You've been posting this for the past 3 months
-
Yes I am aware that Benfica is in Portugal. I merely mentioned what I posted several months back. Benefica is mentioned at the end of my current post separately exactly for the reason it's not in Spain

If true, maybe now some will take note of what I said earlier that Pochettino would walk and leave us in a right old sh*te. He's another Redknapp. That he'd be grabbed up by a Spanish club in the merry go round following Mourinho leaving Real Madrid. So many options with even Malaga still hunting for a coach. Benfica would be too big to turn down

Totally gutted to read this sad news. Had been hoping Ron would have made it over to receive the Heroes welcome from the club he truly deserved. I was fortunate to have seen Ron play week in, week out, amazing and delighting the whole country with the goals he scored. As said above, Ron Davies was a real legend for our club, for Wales and the other clubs he played for. Few tarnished the history of Manchester United as Ron did. In retirement Ron suffered greatly in health and financial difficulties, both of which he didn't merit or deserve. Nowadays players don't live in fear of retirement as did players of yesteryear. Ron Davies is a player who truly deserves a Statue at St Mary's and hope the club will afford Ron this posthumous recognition to all he did for us Saints. Ron, you will be sorely missed. Rest in Eternal Peace. Condolences to loved ones left behind

FRANCE'S FIRST GAY MARRIAGE TAKES PLACE in MONTPELLIER AT 17.OOPM (French Time) Major TV companies (CNN etc) are covering the event at the Montpellier Mayor's office http://www.authintmail.com/news/europe/france-hold-first-gay-marriage-montpellier

Trying to come to grips that this may have been one horrible accident. I have begun to wonder whether the mother was squatting over the floor toilet and gave birth. I have seen these types of toilets in China and the hole is pretty large and if it was a shared toilet it may only have automatic flushing at regular intervals. Certainly a miracle that the little one survived such a horrible entrance into the world.

In China a new born baby rescued after mothers throw him down the toilet. Incredible photos of the rescue. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2331941/Chinese-baby-rescued-ALIVE-toilet-pipe-flushed-away-parents.html

Tomorrow sees the first gay marriage in France. Where? In the city of Montpellier where I've lived since 1973. Over 700 journalists been invited to ensure it become a circus. France's top singer Johnny Halliday replied when asked what he thought " I don't approve but don't disapprove either" Safe reply surely not to upset any of his fans.

Billy played 12 games in the Championship last season and scored 10 goals. He played 7 games (5 pre season)at the start of our last season and scored 5 goals. Not a bad average for someone people have written off
-
One thing is clear for me, I'd far rather have Billy Sharpe in the squad next season than useless players like De Ridder. Sharpe coming off the bench offers being able to score, whereas De Ridder and others don't.
