First half, we struggled, and I thought we were really riding our luck going in one nil at half time. We were a different side second half and could have finished six or seven up. terrific second half performance, special mentions for Jack Cork and Chappers, but the whole team somehow pulled together after the break. tbh I'd have taken a draw at half time, but that gear we stepped up just left watford reeling. No, I didnt miss it, I was in 38, and as I recall it the closest we came to conceding (apart from the goal) started from a short pass from Kelvin that got closed down. And to Chez, I'm not having a pop, I said that if you read through this thread (and the other recent post match threads for that matter) almost everyone but you is saying the same thing, the short ball out just isnt working. Reading through this thread, and the post-match threads from the last couple of games, I think you're pretty much alone on this one. I can see the logic of the short ball out but at the moment it just isnt working, and its causing us all sorts of problems. I'd rather our midfield/forward line was scrapping for the ball in the oppo half than see our defence desperately trying to keep it around our area with only the keeper behind them. The last few games have shown pretty clearly that the oppos have sussed that as well.
