I somehow think that may not be an issue.

You can unsubscribe from their emails without triggering a further tidal wave of spam. Just saying. And fwiw, their voucher offers are f*cking useless. We have so far used three, all of them have been carp.

Out of interest, did she happen to predict that someone called Deppo would be banned from an internet forum sometime soon? Again?

Did she have any of your details before you went? Name/address/phone number or anything? Its amazing what you can find out with a few quick searches on any of those. And are you absolutely certain she isnt a member of this forum?

Jayma Mays from Epic Movie. Nice legs, and generous with them.

Good point. Aldous Huxley wrote about heaven and hell, and the doors of perception, when he took mescalin. William Burroughs wrote some of the most interesting stuff I ever read while he was on heroin, and as for Hunter S. Thompson......

Slight tangent, years back when jeremy bates was the british no. 1 and Radio 5 had just started, they had some bird on the commentary during one of his matches. That was two hours of pure filth, every point played sounded like a porn soundtrack. This woman was gasping and groaning like she was getting spitroasted and loving it. Never heard anything like it, the dirty *****.

Absolutely. If we called off the battle, we would win the war. Simple as that. 76 Child has spoken several times on this thread of his hatred and contempt for illegal drug dealers. Under the current system in this country, they will always exist because of the basic laws of supply/demand/pricing. We could simply bypass them by legalising drugs for existing users, and hopefully help them get off them because we would be able to identify them and offer assistance. And if they cant or wont get off them, we could at least supply their needs without forcing them into crime to fund their habit. The "No drugs=no addicts=no problem" approach has failed for at least fifty years now, its time to look at it rationally.

How could anybody possibly know? How would they be able to keep records of alcohol consumption when it was prohibited by law and the government was in the hands of organised crime??? edit, yes it did reduce consumption, but this says it all; While Prohibition was successful in reducing the amount of liquor consumed, it stimulated the proliferation of rampant underground, organized and widespread criminal activity
-
Now that is genuinely deluded. Read up on the effects of prohibition, almost any book about it will do, and you will find the same story which is a microcosm of what is being discussed here. Chicago basically got handed over to the mafia to run, and an entire nation was criminalised together with its whole political system corrupted. US prohibition is a prime example of the need to rethink the drug laws in this day and age.

There was a trial in Yorkshire instigated by the local police chief, who had noticed that most crime seemed to stem from people who needed money for drugs. They basically set up a programme whereby addicts could walk into a clinic anonymously, see a doctor, discuss their drug requirements, and be given it to take there and then. The local crime rate dropped by (I think) 57% during that time. I'll have to do some digging and post a link. edit, I think this refers to it, I heard the chief inspector talking about the programme on R4 a while back; http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/features/features/8448426.New_team_helping_drug_users_in_York/

Heroin is clearly not a great thing to get hooked on, but for whatever reasons, people still do it. And once you are on it, surely it would be better to trot along to an NHS clinic and take what you need, free of charge and under medical supervision, than get striped by the pushers and have to mug, rob or prostitute yourself to get the astronomical amount of money to pay for something you hope wont kill you because of its impurity or unknown strength?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-13624303 Ive been saying this for decades. An unwinnable war, insanely expensive to the community and ridiculously profitable to the criminal suppliers. How anybody can believe that the free market economy and capitalism are the way to go but hope to exclude it from the drugs market is beyond me.
