He's in the first team on OS but I guess with DMG and John (and at the moment Rasiak) at the club and only one striker position available I don't think he'll play that much this year.

I think a Cup for the lower leagues is a good idea but you can't attach a European place to it. The teams below the big four only have one place to divide in the UEFA Cup when the FA Cup finalists and Carling Cup finalists (or is it only the winners that qualify in the Carling Cup?) are not in the top 4. It would give the teams something else to play for and a trip to Wembley is financially interesting as well.

Lets not pretend that this match should have been 4-0 to Saints or something for it to be a good results. Five CCC teams went out today against lower league oposition and one needed extra time for the win. A 3-1 win away from home is a good results. Nothing to get carried away with but nothing to be overly critical about as well. On Saturday Davis will be back in goal and Killer back in defence so that should tighten things at the back. Bring on Birmingham!
