Completely agree

I still think we need to bring in a replacement big man up top (Bas Dost possibly) in case Austin gets injured a lot once again, also I really REALLY hope Redmond is not the replacement for Mane. Redmond is a decent player, bags of potential and could be amazing, but he's not in the same league as Mane in my opinion, we need to bring in someone of Mane's calibre to replace him.

 We wear stripes so will never have a 'clean design' like the Spurs and Villa stuff, unless you want us to go back to wearing all Red?!

The Rather Previous 2017/18 Saints Kit Thread
BlakeySFC replied to once_bitterne's topic in The Saints
Since there was such uproar the last time we departed from stripes I don't think the club are likely to depart from them again anytime in the near future, it'll be stripes for the foreseeable future with little touches (like the white shoulder strip on this years shirt) that make them different, next year may be some bits of gold, then some black pinstripes interspersed with the red/white stripes the year after, who knows. -
You can't please everyone though, we've got 1.4 million odd that follow our Facebook page, 579k that follow us on twitter, if it's safe to assume this is the rough estimate of our fan base you aren't going to please them all, its impossible. The general consensus on here is negative but there's only 1000 replies which is a very small fraction of our fan base, on twitter the reaction has been much more positive. If you consulted with fans on a kit you'd be there all day, there would be countless arguments and they'd miss their manufacturing deadlines. A good idea in theory, but not practice.

Some of these reactions are goddamn hilarious Jesus Christ chaps, kit designers really can't win with you guys. Standard bland striped home shirt - 'Quite nice, bit boring though, template as well, bit lazy and we look like Stoke' Brand new uniquely designed striped shirt with a few distinguishing features with a new template just for SFC (Guy in Bar Raised vids confirmed this on twitter, it's not an old template) - 'vomit inducing, won't be buying' Can't win Personally, I think its the best shirt we've had since returning to the Prem.

Someone on twitter has done a clearer version of the two leaked kits. Look bloody fantastic in my view.

Not at all, we've already seen the pound slump to a 30 year low and the FTSE tumble, it's clear at this moment in time that it wasn't a good call. And I think the 'minority' you speak of are the 48% that wanted to remain in the European Union, I respect the democratic process and that the country as a whole voted to leave the EU but what rankles is that the over 50s seemingly have decided our future for us. They've voted to leave the EU based on scewed Immigration numbers, wanting to to stick it to Westminster and false figures in regards to the NHS receiving funding. By and large, yes. They wanted to stick it to the man, or send a message to the government without realising what they were actually doing or the repercussions that would follow. A lot of people voted leave purely because of Immigration fears, and disregarded the multitude of other factors in remaining (or leaving) the EU. People who voted leave read the Sun and/or Express, believed everything they said and voted for what they believed in, there isn't inherently anything wrong with that but it has doomed us under 30s to a life out of the EU.
-
Well I'd expect you to be more progressive and tolerant then. I meant I'd have to seriously consider leaving the UK to work in another country if Brexit won. Let's be real, the vote wasn't decided by University professor's and intellectuals, it was decided by xenophobes and racists scared of seeing a few brown people walking down the street and those who wanted to stick it to Cameron and his cronies.
-
Never said I'd been banned from anything, just said I work for a European company, and I'd feel the effects of the Brexit first hand, and that I'm seriously considering relocating to Dublin.
-
Yeah what a surprise many UK jobs are linked to Europe, eh? Farage didn't tell me where I had to live, who I had to marry, how many kids I can have or what to call or dog or where to go on my Stag do. For the record, my constituency (Waverley) voted In. But he did tell a bunch of lies (along with the Leave campaign as a whole) that secured Britain's exit from Europe, I'm sure many of those who voted out don't even know what the EU is.
-
This. Moronic Leave twonks disregarding expert opinions on the economy etc. and thinking everything will be hunky dory. Cannot believe my future has essentially been decided by a bunch of xenophobic, racist, ignorant morons.
-
Looking like Leave has won.

I think it's absolute madness to rule out Pellegrini and potentially appoint Puel, would be a very underwhelming appointment if true.

Moaning ensues no matter what happens, if the away kit is anything other than yellow and blue = 'Won't be buying, not yellow and blue' If the home kit is anything other than standard stripes = 'Just ghastly, won't be buying' Moaners gonna moan.

I think anyone who wouldn't be excited by Pellegrini rocking up here needs their brains tested, PL winning manager, managed at some of the top clubs in Europe, experience of managing at a similar size club to Saints with a similar philosophy (Villarreal), don't see what anyone doesn't like to be honest.

You could've just edited your original post...

Gary Neville.

Just can't see why a manager that has managed in the UCL and managed some of the huge clubs around Europe coming to Saints is in anyway a bad thing?! I'd bit my hand off if he signs.

God I hope we don't get Howe, he's got a lot of potential as a manager, but I don't think he's anywhere near proven at this level yet. He took Bournemouth up, and kept them there, so he's done a good job, but I'll be interested to see how Bournemouth get on next season and if they do well take a punt on him after that, he failed at Burnley and has a special relationship with Bournemouth, so I really don't think he'll be any good for us. I'd bite your hand off for Pellegrini or Emery personally.
