Perhaps we are not signing anymore players
-
Yes I was there although it was tense it was not as tense as the FL cup Semi Final against Leeds when Terry Curran scored Early I thought we beat Plymouth over Easter but I will check when I return from picking my daughter up from the Station
-
Although it was an important goal it was not as important as the Leyton Orient one. If the Charlton game was 0 0 it was still possible to get promoted by getting two more points but the Leyton Orient goal clinched promotion

He may not like playing for Alan Pardew Wants more money as he has lots loads through bad investments. Who knows there could be many reasons or as you suggest none we will see in time

Is Cortese deliberately trying to annoy the fans.
John B replied to landford.saint's topic in The Saints
There is nothing wrong with it but it would be good for fans if the echo had really up to date info others are not glued to the Internet like you and me. You seem to be a well rounded and reasonable person and I doubt you would saidthe things that Cortese has then perhaps AC Milan may not know you. Just feel things could have been handled a little better -

Thats a strange response. I just think he has been confrontational on a few occassions which does not put him in a good light. -

Lets face it Cortese is a bit strange really often looking for confrontation -

Fair enough if that is all you want thats OK. Others may want a club that plays reasonable football and looks after its fans and announces new in a reasonable way so that all fans can be kept up to date by all media outlets -

That was five years ago he did not perform well enough in the Friendly Internationals otherwise he would have been picked -
was the Terry /Bridge incident anything to do with morale?
John B replied to OldNick's topic in General Sports
So how do the other countries cope then? -
He scored the in the last few minutes of the Charlton games as well but the Leyton Orient Goal he scored right in front of me was probably the most important

Sound a lovely family the Davenports
-
I must admit I thought it did need a lick of paint when I went to the Southend game but I would prefer a RB and CM and a striker but I dont need cheering up. I never thought we had much chance of doing well in the World Cup unless Rooney excelled

So you dont understand that Capello wants a target man and Heskey is probably the only one available -
I think you maybe wrong I dont think there were many decent player that were not tried Walcott was and was found wanting By the way I dont know many of the players in any of the World Cup teams who do not play in the Premier League

Just because he is English it does not mean Harry is a better manager than Cappello A fourth finish in the Premier League plus a FA Cup win against Cardiff hardly compares with Capello -

John B replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
Sorry I was being tongue in cheek I was agrreing with your point of best man for the job. Foreign managers do well in the League so why not for England -
Former Saints who could/should manage England fred...
John B replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
Foreign Managers have done nothing for English Football you only have to look at the top 10 in Premier League teams 1 Chelsea 2 Manchester United 3 Arsenal 4 Tottenham Hotspur 5 Manchester City 6 Aston Villa 7 Liverpool 8 Everton 9 Birmingham City 10 Blackburn Rovers Only two English Managers there just like English Players not good enough -
I think I would rate this post as 2 possibly 3 some of the ratings are quite bizzare
-
Oh yes he got the squad wrong - numerous world class players lying on beaches Get real the best English players were chosen but they were just not good enough Not sure any Premier league players have been outstanding for other countries either
-
I think paying Capello £6m is ridiculous but getting rid of managers is counter productive I would have thought. The main problem is that we dont have the players Terry was slow I thought in 2006 and even slower in 2010 Upson is just not good enough as can be said for a number of others . You could say that Walcott would have made a difference as well as Crouch but at World Level they probably are not good enough

Yes I remember it well I went up to Bitterne to put on a bet just before 3pm drove back to Bitterne Manor the road was deserted and watched on a black and white screen
