Unfortunately it does not seem to be working it at the moment with very few coming through to the First team. Apart from Oxlade and possibly Gobern which Academy players are going to make it into the First Team this season. We are a League 1 side so standards are not as high as they were previously

I agree the first XI is very good but was hoping for a couple of old heads like Murty Jaidi or Connolly just for a season or so but I do agree I would not expect any young freebies. I think Harding may have been our only free last season on a longterm contract

We need a Corky type for Saints an old Pro with lots of experience and proven ability

I think we will do well but other teams and fans will want us to fail. If we have the rub of the green and not too many injuries we should do really well. But if for any reason we have a bad spell we should remain confident Although I think it would be absolutely to stupid to sack Pardew during the season I feel that any reasonable manager should achieve promotion with players we currently have and the support of the fans

That maybe true but we off loaded a dozen or so players so it was expected that we would get in a couple of replacements as Pardew complained last season that he missed out a lot of frees as he started with us late.

I think the only concern is the lack of any regular information coming out of St Mary's is a little disconcerting I am certain we will do well as do most fans from other clubs I have met Just think it would have been nice if last week when players returned from training what his plans for the pre seaon were. Still not sure if NC has as much confidence in AP as the fans

I dont really see what that not knowing who is going to be signed shows anything about professionalism lots of clubs sign players without their fans knowing about them. No doubt in the Past it happened too We knew about Puncheon Dickson and there was a lot in the Press about Bailey and Calderon
