Yes I agree with what you are saying and it was a concern of FitzHugh Fella at the start of last season. Of course we will have to live with the situation but in the past when fans were shareholders it felt that the fans were involved more in the clubs and as shareholders could get more info. When Lowe etc left many said we had got our club back but I think that was far from the truth
-
Unfortunately some may do that because the Club is now seen by some as not caring for fans and trying to make as much money as possible from them. In the past most of the money received usually went to make the team stronger this maybe the case but as a Private company could also go into the Owners pocket. However with better PR things could be a lot better - the Pompous Arrogant nature of Mr Cortese which may of course be not true appears to be gaining momentum amongst a minority of fans and needs to be stopped I would have thought. A simple explanation on the ticketing strategy and what the finances of the club are like would go a long way to resolving the situation

My friend travelled from Whitley Bay to Wembley for some match for £25 I thought it was a good deal

Why not send out Reminders by Email? That would not be costly - Most People have Email addresses in fact one of my daughters has five

If this Thread was started in three weeks time I think it would be interesting but I am sure transfer activity is happening and we will find out answers to questions raised in the next few weeks The only comment I would like to make is that Pardew said last season that by arriving late he missed out on a lot of free bargains. Well he does not seem to have picked up any bargains at the moment but this of course may change in the next couple of weeks

Yes It is going to be interesting what the attendances are going to be this Season. Obviously SFC think they know what they are doing but I am not so sure - However as Results Should be really Good perhaps they may well be right
-
I think Algeria would have beaten SFC last night something they failed to do against England As Usual Alpine continually whinges only appears supports his team when things go right. Of course England did not play well but these things happen the team needs support not aggro when it loses

I dont disagree with you on the financial analysis but the whole thing stinks really They bring out a Charter and then renage on it. Most clubs offer an installment plan to help fans but not SFC very sad day - Profit before fans some including me may not go very regularly especially as I have to pay more as I dont live in Southampton

Pardew signed him for £750000 in the Championship a couple of years ago
-
I was going to say something similar to that too

I am an OAP next year so have seen most of the great matches of the last fifty or so years. I cannot see SFC ever performing well in the Premier League in my lifetime. So I am quite happy going to St Mary's in League 1 with my brother for £10 having a couple of beers seeing a few goals once a month But if I was 30 Years younger and had not been to the Dell in th 60s 70s and early 80s then that would be a different story

I am pleased that you are pleased

Alan Ball was ginger and was one of the best players ever to wear a Saints Shirt
-
Depends on the alternative I would have thought The point I was making was that it appears that most people running the club in the recent past have been doing primarily to line their own pockets something which I do not particularly like but unfortunately I have to live with.
-
In the good old days when the club was well run and nobody's nose was in the trough most tickets were sold at the gate
-
He does have one point though - Would anyone be interested in buying a Premiership club for £50m which may well struggle to survive
-
In the 1970s we had Forbes Phillipson-Masters
-
Clearly they are not doing it at St Mary's because some want installment plans while others including me do not want to pay extra ie a booking fee
-
In the past I always thought that the money I spent was going to SFC which would make the club stronger now I think it is going to make Cortese richer I am not sure that I really like that idea
-
In club football Burley has a win ratio of 43.53 Pardew has a win ratio of 43.79
-
Depends how we play in the first game I would have thought Early season perhaps as many games as possible to get fit and keep momentum going

I think it is important that the State owns up to its mistakes which in this case it has . If citizens cannot march peacefully without being shot by the Army then we are in the realms of state like China is today and Russia and South Africa in the past Over all Britain did not cover itself with glory during its imperial past which has caused numerous deaths and conflicts as a result I am not condoning the IRA - I even had a heated Argument with a member trying to collect money outside Christ the King Church in Bitterne many years ago but I do understand that they may have valid reasons for feeling hard done by succesive British Governments

Given a two point deduction next season for the poor pitch
-
I agree with what you are saying and if the club was sold after gaining promotion to the Premier League I would have thought at least £50 Million but no doubt would depend on the quality of players on the books. Not sure it would be a good investment at that time though but I am willing to be convinced otherwise

Obviously there has been wanton murder in Ireland for years a lot perpertrated by the British State. The dead from Bloody Sunday have now been found innocent of charges of being terrorists which a corrupt Government Machine found them guilty in 1972. If the state can not be trusted it is no surprise that numerous Republicans took up Arms in the 1970s
