I think you are making excuses most teams relegated have gone through some sort of turmoil but others in all leagues are doing a lot better as Delldays has said Add Newcastle and Middlesboro West Brom to the list.

Yes a good point perhaps other managers can get the best out of their players while Pardew cant.

I cant see us going down but unless we finish the season well with good wins what would his position be then. Also I dont know how much money he can spend in January getting in three quality players will make a lot of difference to the team I would have thought.

Stability is of no use without success but I fully understand what you are saying. Chelsea have had four managers in what 2 years but are successful because they have outstanding players SFC have had five managers in what 2 years but are unsuccessful perhaps because they do not have many outstanding players

I know that but I mean is how can you tell this season if the plan to get to the Premiership with Pardew is achievable. Or does he just have to scrape out of the relegation zone to keep the plan on course.

I noticed your optimism 1 - 0 to Saints will be OK by me. It is a long time since Saints scored 4 in a game at St Mary's usually they cannot manage that in a month

As you say if we are in danger of relegation a change of manager maybe required but at the moment we have not reached that stage as we have hardly played any of the bottom eight clubs where winning should be easier. My main concern is that we maybe stuck with Pardew even though by the end of the season we are not playing well enough to mount a push for promotion. I still think we rushed into appointing a manager because it takes time to work out how to progress to the future of course I will be proved wrong if we manage to finish in the top ten

Do you really think it was JP or Wotte that caused us to be relegated I doubt if any manager would have succeeded but then the grass is always greener on the other side as they say.

Possibly a lot of our problems in the past were caused by a financial pressures. Now we dont them the team in theory should be doing better but at the moment it is not. Will probably change for the better in the next couple of months although I thought it had when we were 2 1 on Tuesday and only seven points away from safety thinking on Saturday only four points from safety. It really is so frustrating

I agree I live in Berkshire and quite by chance met a fellow Saints supporter in the Local Homebase starting chatting to him about things that were being said on the Forum which he knew bugger all about

Yes I think he is running it as a business I dont think in anyway he is a fly by night type of person but will eventually make some kind of profit. Which I have no problem with because if he does that will mean that the club is successful
