Does Coretese keep tabs of fans views via this forum?

I have not bought into the five year plan because I dont think you can plan to get to the Premiership definitely in five years because of so many factors outside our control However I have bought into the idea that with careful management we can challenge to get into the Premiership within five years and will eventually reach it possibly in five maybe more maybe less. -
A very interesting post which highlights the problems at the moment Is 50 the usual amount of points to be safe?

To be fair to him he was expecting Stern John to stay and had no idea what was going to happen to the Poles

Not a very cunning plan then:rolleyes: Yes I agree they are the only possible milestones at the moment So if we fail to get promotion next season by losing on penalties in the final do we start another four year plan. -
Yes if we won the toss we always defended the Milton Road end I thought in the first half

Getting to the Premiership in the foreseble future is quite achievable with investment and good management and I fully expect to happen. Actually what is in this 5 year plan are there any milestones or events on the way? And how will it be known if we are on the way to success with this plan at the end of the season and how often is the plan being monitored -
Yes http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/counties/worcestershire/8285846.stm

Sorry I meant jobs being lost up to Administration .
-
Well that is OK then if nobody lost any money or lost their job but highly unlikely I would have thought

From the BBC Article Cortese's plan is for the club to win promotion from League One in two seasons and reach the Premier League in five years. He does not expect Liebherr to enjoy a return on his investment until the club returns to the top flight but reckons Saints can break even in the Championship. I thought it maybe a hobby until I read the article so what do you think?

No not a teacher just fed up with your spat with Pig Swill
-
Not very PC I would have thought;) and a bit confrontational perhaps
-
Not at our club I agree as I posted somewhere else Except when Gray went
-
I am not suggesting Pardew should be sacked I an just saying that often sacking a manager works. If we had only won 1 game after 10 next season I think there would be a strong case for his removal it depends on the situation and who would be appointed instead.

I think it may be difficult to make a judgement on the Education system from Central Europe from here in Berkshire it seems to be going quite well from involvement I have on a day to day basis. Whats this thread about?
-
May not really be hopeless But not successful because of the financial constraints. Gray was my most hopeless manager though

Very true a modern stadium large fanbase good training facilities a bargain. I never really felt in the Wilde / Crouch era that somebody was going to come and invest millions to buy the shares service the debts and buy better players. From my point of view at the moment administration was good but not for the shareholders , people who lost their jobs and suppliers who were not paid plus of course MLT TL and Mr Crouch again. It was also good for Begbies Traynor

I think there is a general agreement that having these new owners things can only get better an eventually we will return to the Premiership hopefully sooner rather than later. Pardew may or maybe the right person but he should be given to the Spring at least before his long term future is discussed except if we get regularly beaten by teams at the bottom of the league However posters will still moan about poor results when they happen but the more patient perhaps should not start arguing that things will get better when people are upset about a particular result as that only makes the situation worse.
-
Of course I agree with you that getting the club for the least amount of money was the best for ML and MC but the best for the supporters would have been when we were in the Championship. However as you maybe suggesting it was never really likely that anybody was going to put any money into buying SLH when Lowe Wilde Crouch were involved as the cost was too high but once in administration it was a bargain a club with large and committed fanbase and good facilities

[quote name= But i think people have to be realistic. We will not be getting relegated. We will finish comfortabally away from the danger zone. I think only a few people truely expected to get promoted this year.[/quote] That is what I think to but with only one league win in ten or so games it is difficult to believe sometimes. I wonder what fans of other clubs we have played think
-
Because apparently they should not have been appointed in the first place:confused:
-
Although I think you post is excellent I doubt if ML and NC are doing it out of the goodness of their hearts but are expecting a return on their investment. It was a shame they did not buy the club when Wilde and Crouch were looking for investment but once in administration the club was so much cheaper. I glad we have the new owners but like many others hoped for better results which probably will soon happen.
-
I agree with you about Pardew but before I elabrate I would suggest that it would have been a good idea for some one from the club to have said at the beginning of the season it is unlikely that we will be promoted this season because of the points deduction and having to be rebuild ready for next season I felt the expectations of many on here were way too high an although there is a plan to get to the Premiership in five years there have been no milestones published to guage whether the plan is working. With regard to Pardew you are right no one knows whether he will succeed but in the short term as long as we beat the teams like Wycombe Leyton Orient etc there is no reason to change managers as it will take time for his team to gel. However if we are struggling to beat better teams by the end of March that is a different situation. If we are in a reasonable position then and playing well we should then be with the acquisition of a few quality Championship calibre players be ready to mount a promotion bid next season.

I must admit I dont think there are that many good managers Of course there are some but they are managers sometimes good sometimes bad . I am not sure about Brown I dont expect many Hull supporters thought they would still be in the Premiership this season. But yes somebody will it helped Nottm Forest last season when Davies came in
-
Yes he is the sort of player we need not some youngster who cannot get into a Premiership Team
