Although Pardew has proved to ineffective with regards to producing reasonable results it would be difficult to sack him. Perhaps another approach that could have been adopted by Nicola and Markus was to have kept on Wotte and appointed a director of football who would have worked with him. Then if results were not acceptable Wotte could have been moved on and a manager appointed by the DOF so that there would be some continuity in the way football was to be played by SFC. But currently Pardew has a free reign and even with poor results and performances there would be little point in removing him and put the team through more turmoil. Running a football club is not easy

Yes very good summation but How is this explained http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/counties/averages/6908070.stm ERVINE MVP
-
Vince Cable may be OK compared with that guy Osbourne but who are the rest?
-
I always liked Lawries idea of a team with Roadsweepers and Violinists not sure AP has the same philosophy
-
Although hope for the future is a worthy sentiment it is now that matters and we have always had promising youngsters coming through but few make the grade unfortunately. Only Adams of the present team is the really good local lad to be fully deserving of a place in the side although Dawson has played well whenever I have seen him
-
Is he any good because I am not sure . Whenever I have seen him he has not performed well.
-
Yes sorry that is what I meant
-
I dont think he is doing a bad job but he just seems to be a bit conservative and I would personnally not have employed him. However he maybe what is required at the moment to stablize the team and looking forward to the future I am not sure what type of football we will be playing when we return to the Championship.

100 mph is against the law and potenially dangerous. Prats like you who condone that sort of irresposible behavior and brag about should be banned from driving
-
So you are happy with Pardew's performance so far? One point per game
-
I think you may well be both wrong Probably safe at Xmas
-
I think you raise an interesting point and like you I dont know
-
Yes I agree but Pardew is not that type of Manager although he appears to see potential in Adam and Morgan
-
Just use the last two games it is easy 4 points 2 per game 37 to go 74 -1 =73 Play off spot easy In fact use whatever figures you want to justify your stance. I dont think Pardew has the team playing well at the moment which will probably change soon but we wont get relegated and we wont get promoted either this season Which is what most people thought in July but hoped that things would have been better
-
Pardew has a squad he gets paid loads of money I think he should sort it out with what we have got. I dont think it is realistic to conjure some loanee from somewhere
-
But we are bottom 10 points from safety in the real world
-
To finish Mid table we need about 62 points or so in 37 games 16 wins 14 draws 7 losses A reasonable target I would have thought
-
The 20/20 team seemed to panic and lose games which they should have won. The youngsters were OK but not outstanding I dont think Dawson played as well this season than he had done before. Dimi was in and out of the England side which must have been unsettling
-
That is a bit short term though what happens when the loan ends we had that problem with Cork last season Perhaps Ryan Smith is available
-
Seeing 3 and 9 there Delldays I once saw Saints win 9 3 against Wolves (in one game not nine)
-
We wont get relegated but I want the team to play more positively thats all Still not sure about Lallana
-
Surely we want a team which wins and excites us not a boring one
-
Slightly underwhelming Positives Adams Carberry Lumb (in onedayers) getting in Cork Cup Win Pothas reliable as ever Disappointments The pace attack - Tremlett in particular and the 20/20 team

Same as last week perhaps? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=16597
