No I was hoping for 70 points this season 7 or 8 by now
-
With comments like that I am surprised anyone would want to referee. I wonder really what percentage of decisions they actually get wrong
-
Possibly they have won more than us like most teams in the Football League
-
It is only in the top level that technology is used. In County Cricket Premiership Rugby it is hardly used . I thought Ponting was excellent when he must have been gutted after losing the ashes but did not blame the umpires for bad decisions
-
Probably right but some will move up I would have thought Even at League 1 level they have been through numerous courses and refereed hundreds of games and know the rules inside out
-
I thought you had a Wotte out campaign going sometime ago. But I do agree with your sentiments that is why I wanted to keep Wotte. Although if managers are not succeeding they should move on if given the chance like Jones and Burley
-
In other sports the referees are respected more and I feel make far less wrong decisions. I cannot really understand why anyone would want to be a football ref
-
I totally agree He did say No excuses http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4570909.No_more_excuses_for_Saints/ That is why my opinion has dipped over the weekend. Fergie and Whinger usually complain about refs
-
I notice that you do not mention Pardew's time at Charlton and that there were other bidders during administration
-
That is a rather stupid comment I would have thought as Notts County are in the Promotion places whilst we are in the relegation ones
-
Totally agree and I dont like him blaming referees either It is diffuclt enough to referee matches without the constant whine of managers.

Answers 1. Where would we be without Liebherr? Somebody else would have taken over 2. How many years did we suffer from debts 3 Poor management 5 Inconsistency 47 3. Do we have a proven manager? Not sure 4. How many teams go out and win everything 5 league games after having a new manager and new owners, a total shakeup of the way the club works Not many but most win some
-
Not at Southampton but things seem to be better at Notts County and Man City
-
Bllody hell new strategy no need to start winning until December then?
-
I dont care about a failing businesses we are talking about a football team. Other clubs bring in a new manager a few new players and then start playing well but not Southampton
-
You are probably right but I am very positive before each game only to be let down by the result especially as I heard that we were winning at half time
-
I have been supporting SFC for over 50 years and the team has never been in the position it has today. The club have not solved that in anyway as it stands today
-
I dont understand why we appear to be arguing because I am in agreement in what you are saying. The scouting system was stopped last season to save money in the short term. I was at St Mary's on Tuesday and we played quite well although we lacked width having grown up with Paine and Sydenham so I was suprised when we did not beat Stockport . Like you I am getting a bit nervous about Pardew and if we dont string a few results soon problems may arise
-
It is not for me to come up with a solution it is for the people to run the club to do that but despite Pardew's hype the club is hardly progressing Of course it may do so in time but after two seasons of rubbish I was hoping for better and a least a league win .
-
I think too much is being made of our preseason being screwed up. Although I would have thought ML would have had a manager lined up before taking over
-
OK if you are happy with three points in five games that is alright by me despite Pardew suggesting that we would take ten points from the first five games. But being in the relegation zone on merit with the squad we have surely is not good enough that is my point and it is often difficult to move on from a bad start. I am not taking umbridge I thought it was you taking umbridge
-
Yes but unfortunately it is results which count. If we had won five or six games more last season Markus may not have been here
-
Yes of course you are right but I thought that last season as well
-
This is a public forum where people are allowed to put across a point of view. Mine is that Pardew and the team is not performing well at the moment and he may not be the right person for the job in hand only time will tell his record at Charlton was not that good but at Reading it was. It should be possible to discuss the manager without the need to suggest that he should be sacked. With the squad we have we should not be in the relegation zone on merit

This is the most depressing post I have read this weekend. This poster is not usually that wrong in his observations
