  1. re my post above - please note, corpy, we are not alone....
  2. Just been looking at that Brighton site again, thinking their 7 pages is a bit of a poor effort against our 700, but then find this post, highlighting some of their other threads on our favourite topic. Some great thread titles, too.... We've gone through a fair amount of pages on this topic..! Portsmouth really are a SHAMBLES, aren't they? POMPEY - what a mess! Breaking Pompey statement Pompey - still at it The sign here if you hate Pompey thread Pompey seem to be in a tad of bother Pompey now owe £138m Pompey - Getting away with murder... Portsmouth Wound up tomorrow wed? Things you won't miss about Portsmouth FC Portsmouth Relegated... Portsmouth Lose Appeal Pompey set for administration.... Pompey tossers portsmouth are ****ed aint they? Those being just a selection of threads involving 'Storrie'.
  3. Nope. The fun has still barely started
  4. Interesting and quite encouraging to see that those BHA fans 'get it' like we do.
  5. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/Pompey-withdraw-contract-offers-for.6680818.jp I particularly enjoyed this quote: Neither player agreed to the terms on offer and the club has now withdrawn the contract offers, which makes it almost certain that both will now leave Fratton Park during the transfer window As far as I can see, there are two options, both equally amusing - 1. They leave and sign for someone else, but only after Poopey have paid off their contracts in full till the end of the season. And 2. Even better, they carry on drawing their £30k/week whilst not playing and occupying two squad places. 36000posts on and this thread is still only in the pre-match warm-up phase
  6. True, but not nearly as much fun as Gemmel's one above it.
  7. It just never ends with them, does it? Yet another stitch-up for someone who did them a good turn. Nasty, dirty little club
  8. Skate News yesterday: Cotterill has backed Andy D'Urso's decision to send off Halford and it is unlikely there will be an appeal, prompting an automatic three-match ban. Then, would you Adam and bloody Eve it, today he's in the squad because they are appealing it. Nasty, dirty little club. Everything and every word that comes out of that sh1t-hole is corrupted
  9. If Lawrence is on the widely reported £20k/week, and Poopey have signed him on a three and a half year contract, that is taking on a liability of approx £5 million quid. It seems completely barmy for someone in their predicament...... Unless they really don't expect to have to honour it in full
  10. A brilliant alround performance today - everyone gets an 8, BUT..... My concern is this - playing against teams that come to SMS to play open, attacking football on our fantastic pitch, as Huddersfield & Exeter did, we are genuinely unbeatable. What continues to worry me is when we come up against teams that play 9-0-1, or just chase and harry with no desire to compete ability-wise, but are up for the fight, we look highly beatable. And many more games are going to be like that this season than what we have seen this week. Having Chaplow is a big plus, as is having Barnard fit again, because we have to win ugly in some of those trench warfare games to stand a chance of going up.
  11. Cue the boringly predictable pitiful pleading to the FL to be allowed a couple more £20k/week players rather than recall Pack from Cheltenham & Ritchie from Swindon DCFSBs
  12. How is it we could get Lex Luther... er sorry, Richard Chaplow, signed and sorted in no time at all. Yet the Lawrence deal has been 'done' since the end of August, what possible complication could even the pitifully inept Poopey paperwork dept come up with?
  13. More unpleasantness from the DFCSBs. They may not be CCC standard, but if that is all you can afford.... More likely they are being booted out so they can only name one sub tonight to look pathetic and try to force the FL's hand to let them bring in another £20k/week signing or two Dirty little club http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/Pompey-to-sell-homegrown-talent.6676267.jp?CommentPage=2&CommentPageLength=10#comments
  14. Another thiong that p1sses me off is how they are haggling with him & Hughes, trying to renege on their contractual arrangements & making it sound like the players are to blame. And now I read that they are twisting Millwall's arm to let them off more contractually agreed fees, using emotional blackmail along the way - 'Millwall have been pretty good about it. They don't want to hinder the boy's progress so have wiped a chunk of it, but there would still have to be money paid for appearances and his own contract would have to be settled.' http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/Youngster-could-get-Pompey-call.6675913.jp Dirty, nasty, cheating little spiv club. All the class of a knickerless Portsea street-wh0re bending down to pick up her 50p tip for extras from a randy Latvian sailor.
  15. From the Mail re Michael Brown - note the word in bold. Agent Storrie just never lets you down Wolves eyeing move for Portsmouth midfielder Michael Brown By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 12:09 AM on 31st December 2010 Comments (0) Add to My Stories Wolves are interested in Portsmouth midfielder Michael Brown. The dogged midfielder looks to have played his last game for Pompey after triggering a contract clause that would increase his salary to £35,000 a week should he play another match. Despite talks he is reluctant to take a hefty pay cut and that has alerted Wolves to his availability. 16. To be honest I'd forgotten about him, but hey ho, I'm sure they can afford another player on £36k/week in the CVA arrangement.... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/BenHaim-return-in-doubt.6667160.jp
  17. He had a horrendous ankle injury that took him two years to get over. Probably best for him and the club that he dropped down and rebuilt his career - still quite young I believe
  18. Too late for that - he's remortgaged them twice already, Chinnery & Gaydy both claim ownership and he owes the cleaner £20k in unpaid button-cleaning when the team wins bonuses...
  19. I think he secretly has a bit of a soft spot for them.....
  20. Having had a couple of days to let the misery pass and a chance to think about it, my conclusion is that it is the mentality of the players that is the core of the problem. They seem to believe that they are too good for this league . Even Lallana is guilty of it sometimes, trying to many fancy tricks when a quick pass is needed, and watching on saturday our build-up is so slow, forty neat passes around the half-way line, but no energy or movement at the end of it. Pardew was guilty of it and Adkins' team seem to play the same way. The only player I excuse from the accusation of not working hard enough is Hammond. If only three other people had put his effort in we might have got something. The other major worry is that when they are shown that they aren't as good as they think, they don't have the backbone for the fight. Brentford were yet another middling team that came with a plan, got the early goal, and let us run in circles going no-where. In some ways Saturday was the most disappointing display for many years because we seemed to have leant nothing from so many similar displays. Football is not all about ability but our team seem to think that is all they need. I've said it before, but what we lack is bottle from 1 to 11, and some tough and possibly unpopular decisions will need to be taken. Beautiful football when you are two up againgst Tranmere or Dagenham is not going to get us promoted, I'm afraid.
  21. Best to let him know early that he has a lifetime of misery ahead of him......
  22. Better hope that a couple of injuries/suspensions over the next few weeks mean they have to play. (Btw even in the match-day squad counts apparently)
  23. I didn't know they did them at Little Chef
  24. Winter break - no effing way. Football is a winter sport. It is one of things that makes an English winter bearable. I hate international breaks, never mind winter breaks.
  25. I think fans of teams like Brighton do get it. They have had a rougher ride than almost anyone & it must stick in the craw the way the DCFSBs have 'got away with it'. A plastic Manure fan who only watches the Champions league can have no grasp of what has happened, it is beyond their experience, but proper fans, especially of those clubs caught on the wrong side of things, understand and share our contempt.
