This morning we are 80 places above the Skates, who are only 9 above Salisbury, 26 above Eastleigh and 45 above Gosport Borough. Massive club

Sneaky

One question - where is the car-park for Tesco's? Normally these places have massive car-parks.
-
I think we should write in in support of Tesco's development. If I had an extra webbed digit or two I would be extremely concerned about all this - there is zero chance of expansion at that site now, and property developers get involved in football clubs for one reason - ask Brighton.

The PST Board will hold a special board meeting to review their findings prior to an EGM which must happen before the end of March for PST Members to attend discuss and vote on these proposals. That's going to be something to look forward too, especially if results haven't improved...... Also, I have to say that I wouldn't be sleeping easily if I was one of the six-web-digited few - cosying up to a property developer has been the end of many a lowly club.
-
This is a bit like the Danny Fox thread - he is just not quite Prem quality, but hopefully he will have the long, successful career his determination deserves. I wish him all the best.
-
Is he the most tattooed player we have ever had?
-
A very fair assessment - a good, honest committed footballer, but just not quite Prem quality. I wish him all the best.
-
That is exactly the point that they choose to ignore. It's not a fluke that we have a good academy, or that we can lure top talent away from lowly clubs.

Quote from Barker in yet another fascinating Factless article justifying why one of there youngsters needs to go out on loan. Is this a bit of a subliminal message, preparing the fishy few for next season? ‘The Skrill Premier ........ has changed. ‘Ninety per cent of the clubs are full-time now so it’s just an extension of League Two. ‘You look at your Grimsbys, Lutons and Wrexhams, all those sort of teams. They are equally as big and as financially stable as most of the teams in League Two, there is not a lot in it.’
-
Is this a true FACT?
-
But to quote him ..... Fogden confirmed: ‘Yes, I have taken a pay cut. It was quite a big decision and there was a little pay cut.' Shock horror - a 'little' pay cut to go from a well-funded Championship club to one that could be in the Conference next season. Either he was underpaid for the Champ, or......
-
Two clubs that Pompey remind me of are Luton Town & Grimsby Town - two reasonable-sized provincial clubs with a long league history and even a bit of top-flight history, both of whom have slipped into the Conference and found it incredibly hard to escape it again. They will really think they will walk it if they drop down and it will tough (just as they did in the CCC, L1 & L2)

You read comments like this and despair..... As a wise man said - Don't wrestle with a pig, you'll both get covered in ****e, but what is worse, he'll enjoy it!

For some reason that top image looks like a screenshot of some seedy small-time gangster with his two heavies from a Guy Ritchie film

I have finally, finally caught up with all the thread. Taking a few weeks off is a nightmare, and I won't make that mistake again. To summarise my considered thoughts on the whole situation - You gotta laugh.....
-
Not really -someone saying 'I will pay you back,' now that would be flabbergasting (especially if they meant it).
-
I have just wasted a very boring afternoon at work catching up, having let myself lapse from the one true faith, but I am totally with Rallyboy - living over here on the dark side is totally different to anywhere else. The delusion, the defective morality and thinking just grind you down and you need an outlet. (My therapist told me so.....)
-
I think we need a goalkeeper, a left back and another striker in our second eleven, otherwise it is quite strong.
-
You never really see if a player is a bit unfit except that their performance drops a bit. I thought Shaw was struugling a bit against Fulham but back to 100% today, but this time it was Victor's turn. Surprised we didn't swap him at half time as the game was won. Still, we can let him have that one today & hopefully he will learn from it.

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 4-1 Hull City
sidthesquid replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I should think Woy is hoping Walker or Johnson pull out of the squad to give him the excuse to bring in Clyne! All SIX of our English boys were superb today and play well together. I just wish I had had sufficient therapy over the years not to be fretting about being ONLY 3-1 up against a team that had barely mustered a shot on goal till we gifted them one. I'm sure Manure fans don't feel like it, but 40+ years of watching Saints has done this to me. Still, as far as rehab goes, days like today certainly help. -
Neither of them made it to the Scotland team. I doubt we have had half a dozen Scots internationals in the last 50 years. Cue a definitive list......
-
Can't watch any more - hte steam has slowed to a puddle! Observations - we conceded a classic Kelvin goal - Ramirez thinks every game should be played at 'friendly' pace - Reed looks useful - we aren't ever going to score a goal
-
It's got to be Micky Channon and Big Ron for England & Wales, Bairdy or Chris Nicholl for NI, Kenna or Townsend for the Republic (if he played for them whilst with us). But who was the last player before Fox to play for Scotland whilst at Southampton?
-
A couple of things Firstly Wanyama now looks totally the part. A beast in the middle of the park, with abillity, too. JWP is nailed on to play for England - and quite soon. He's 18 ffs. Totally assured, brilliant football brain, great passing & dead-ball. Where do we keep finding them? Clyne, too. Everyone raves about Shaw, but is there a better full-back out there? If Lallana doesn't get an England call-up it will be a bigger travesty than MLT under Hoddle. He is unplayable against the moment. If we can keep them fit, this team is the real deal.
