I am answering your question. You just don't get it, do you? As JFP has shown above the issue of race does not come into it, and you are also denying there are white Africans now, to boot.

It is not a side step. It is an answer to your question. If this story had happened in Africa, and someone had said "black tw at", then yes, I would accuse them of being racist as there would be no information available as to what the race of the person in question was.

Had the person merely been of African origin (and that all the information available) then to judge on grounds of race would be absurd as there are both white and black Africans. The fact you have assumed that African origin = black is, frankly, a bit racist.

I do not recall the thread the comment you are quoting was posted on. However, if the person JFP is referring to is French, and JFP considers them a "tw at" then it would be the same difference as if he had said "French legend" had his views been opposite.

I find that the biggest insult of them all. I do not tolerate any form of racism, no matter how minor, and it is certainly not conducted in the art of "basic trolling". It is something I take very seriously in 'real life' as well.

You cannot tell me that "the system works" because you were there reading the thread, only to then turn round in your next post and tell me that it didn't work, and I should use the complaints function. You clearly have no idea what you are on about.

If the "system works" why did you tell me to use the complaints function earlier? Are you entirely confused?

1) Using the complaints system is pointless. No-one ever gets back to you. I use it to report people going off-topic in the Lounge (which is supposed to be for more serious debate), but not once has anything happened. 2) A mod (you) was posting on the thread in question, thus there was no point reporting it, as you knew it was there.

In this instance the poster in question happened to be the one you have mentioned. Just because it was, does not mean there are not other posters to whom the comments may not equally have applied. I notice you have failed to address the issue of your thickness.

I think we can assume that you were born thick, as you haven't even mastered the use of the basic question mark. I believe that they teach this between the ages of 6 and 11, so perhaps you could do with a week in primary school to refresh your basic language knowledge. I am, of course, assuming that English is your first language. If it isn't, then you are doing well but I wouldn't drop the evening classes quite yet. It is also clear that you do not believe the remark which you defended was in any way racist. It was not the most hateful of comments, but it certainly had racial undertones, and a basic character assaination of Shane shows he 'has previous'. Had the comment come from someone who had never shown any racist tendencies then perhaps it could be perceived as a joke, but coming from Shane I think anyone could tell what it meant.
