Clegg's public line is neither. It's hard to see how a Tory/Lib Dem deal could work. One of Lib Dems key themes is voting reform and the membership would be in uproar if it was dropped (remember, democratic party unlike other two). Cameron has already said he won't change FPTP, so just can't see how it would happen.

Neither will ask. Tories will do a deal with UUP, SNP and Plaid.

This certainly isn't the key debate, it is a debate we shouldn't have to have. Labour are right, you can't cut your way out recession. However, in my opinion, they haven't invested in the right areas and the VAT cut didn't achieve much. Instead we should have spent money insulating public buildings (creating private sector jobs now and saving public purse money in long run), improving our public transport by electrifying more lines and investing in renewable energy.

Actually, this is also guff. The last thing politicians want to do is have the media following them around canvassing. If people answer a door and a camera is there, their reaction isn't likely to be natural. The only reason this would happen is if media insisted on following a canvassing session.

Can very much assure you this isn't true! Did 5 hours of canvassing yesterday, and 5 more ahead today!

On Newsnight on Tuesday (I know, I'm a nerd!), Simon Hughes made a fairly forthright point that in many respects the media can get in the way of elections and what the politicians want to do. What is good for the media isn't usually what is good for the campaign.
