Can't get near most shots, those that are right at him go through his foam hands. When he does get a stop he pushes it straight back out. Makes a huge meal of any routine scuffer. Worst Saints goalie in my memory and that includes Ian Andews and Tommy Fourpast.

Early days but I don't like Martin and his "smartest person in the room" vibe. All talk. You can't have mentally fragile players like ours playing your "philosophy". We need to play to our strengths not lay bare our weaknesses. I don't think we can expect top 6 when we have a goalie that can only save 25% of shots that are straight at him. And even when he does he often pushes it straight back into play.

Just switched over to Everton and Pickford made an incredible double save at the death to keep a point for them. Shows just how valuable a decent keeper can be.

I've never seen a goalie where the ball is so close to him yet he either gets nothing at all on it or a hand but so weakly that it goes in. Like many others, I've said time and time again that was utter folly to not get a decent keeper.

How come professional players can't make a 10-15 yard pass. I see less passes go astray in our 35s-50s league and we play on cabbage patch fields. Now a kid had just showed us how it's done.
