82 was my first. I lived near Andover in those days. I remember watching Scotland vs Brazil on a little black and white. Had to go to bed during the first half. Woke up thinking Scotland had won 1-0. 86 I watched as many games as possible but it was 90, 94 and 98 that I enjoyed the most (would have been 16, 20, 24) and my absolute favourite was 1990.

I thought I heard 16 groups of 3. If so that's nuts. Who's going to watch Jamaica vs India or whatever. 12 x4 makes more sense. But this is FIFA.

I'm only watching it because Canada actually qualified! Mind you, m once it starts I'll probably tune in for a few games. I don't agree with it though, one bit. Ridiculous to have a World Cup in a tiny rich nation in November and December.

Because our current shape and tactics have us get either 0 or 1 goal agame. It's not easy to get 3 points that way.

Depends on what "having a go" means. To me it means to stop all this getting up to the box only to pass all the way to Baz to just lump up field to the other team. I'd prefer a pass into the box to at least try and get a goal. If we're going to lump it long we may as well, no?

Why do you have to be like that. I'm not saying Leeds or Forest are wonderful or even saying we'd be "sitting pretty". I'm just bored of the negative tactics and if we are losing anyway have something to cheer or give me hope we can get out of this mess. Our current tactics have us get 1 goal or 0 goals so we have to be really good to get 3 points and often in those games we lost 1-0 both teams were poor and we (imo) squandered points.

I just want us to be more positive, get more chances on goal. We all know Che needs a few chances to score so tge current tactics of giving him 0, 1 or 2 isn't exactly going to produce much. I get that we are not that good but I feel (imo) we are too negative any that alone had cost us about 5-6 points so far.

Playing the way we do we get fuck all. Noone is guaranteeing 4-3 results but Forest and Leeds both had a go at Liverpool and won. BHA had a go at Man U and Chelsea and won. If we are to lose I'd rather lose 3-2 than 1-0 and risk losing 4-0 to win 2-1. Playing the way we do, we're looking to win 1-0 but our midfield are far too sloppy with possession to allow that.

Leeds are nothing special but are having a bloody good go vs Liverpool. They very well may lose this one but you can't fault the effort and intent. Saints could cause teams problems but no doubt King Dipshit makes them slow it down and pass it back so we can hoof it and win it back higher up the field. Ludicrous tactics and about as effective as a catflap in an elephant house.
