  1. Good post. Pretty sure he's one of Heisenburg's alts...
  2. That's the risk you take I guess. Some on here when buying a used car must march straight up the the seller, see the 15,000 asking price and immediately panic and give them 18,000 just to make sure they get the car they want meanwhile similar cars are going for 12,000. That's fine if you are rich, be we aren't!
  3. I don't understand the logic of some of you on here. You expect us to just throw money at Blackburn and not haggle a bit to get the price down but at the same time complain we have no money to spend. Surely it's smarter business to have a few target and then start the negotiation process to get the price down a bit?
  4. And you’d be the first one on here slating the club as soon as Ings got injured for paying ludicrous wages to crock.
  5. What should the club have done?
  6. So we’re relegated without kicking a ball are we? The club offered him a new contract to make him our highest earner. He rejected it. What else do you think the club should have done?
  7. Don't suppose there is a transfer window for forum posters too? We could do with offloading a few to other forums. Every thread is utterly polluted with childish name-calling and bickering. It's so tiresome.
  8. Yeah, if Moi still looks slow to think and act vs two non-EPL teams then he’s not going to cut it in the EPL.
  9. How many mistakes will Alex Mc make before he gets it into his skull not to piss about with it?
  10. I’m not reading all that. Wtf is this? A book club?
  11. Good point.
  12. Yes that would suck for us but it’s a trap that people outside of football fall into all the time. They love their job but get offered a new one with better pay, benefits etc but don’t go because they feel bad for their current employers putting them in a bind. Trouble is, everyone is replaceable and HR wouldn’t show you the same loyalty. Danny is entitled to look out for #1 just like the club would do if Danny had a sustained drop in form and didn’t score many goals.
  13. I agree with this. No problem if he’s testing the waters to see if a champs league club is interested but if not then happy to sign with Saints. It’s worthwhile for him to see if there is interest.
  14. Save those for the real games lads!
  15. Jesus, good save but like last season, we really do make it hard for ourselves. I swear over 70% of the goals we conceded last year, the highlight started with us in possession.
  16. Damn, was hoping he’d have somehow become a better player and would be able to put a shift in for us this upcoming season.
  17. Is it still a case of him not being quick enough to think and react and getting caught in possession of is he just a peripheral figure not looking to get on the ball and get involved?
  18. How does Moi look so far?
  19. I’m pretty sure once none of the big 6 come for him he’ll go to West Ham or similar.
  20. Where’s @trousers when we need him most?
  21. Say it is all a narrative. What is so bad about tackling racism head on, educating children about how to spot racism and why it is wrong and creating a better more harmonious and inclusive country (my country too). Why is that upsetting to you? It’s like the environmental change cartoon joke where someone asks, “what if it’s a hoax, what if we end up making a better world for nothing?”.
  22. Also: The aim of an argument, or of a discussion, should not be victory, but progress.
  23. Eh? You can criticize someone without there being a racial motive. What I was saying was that posting that the words weren’t racist doesn’t mean there wasn’t a racial motivation that the police know about. I didn’t say that the mural thing was racist just that we don’t have the full story. What I was getting at was that all this debate about the mural and not being able to see the tweets detracts from educating people about racism and racist behaviour. I haven’t seen the reports about the mural. To me it’s not relevant. If people want to use it to gather and raise awareness about how to stamp out racism then that’s fine, even if the words weren’t inherently racist.
  24. How do you know what their motivation was? Just because they didn’t write anything inherently racist doesn’t mean that the vandalism wasn’t racially motivated. If say an Indian family’s store had a brick thrown through the window, the attack could be said to be racially motivated even though there wasn’t anything written on the store in graffiti. Perhaps witnesses heard the vandals using racist language while writing on the Rashford mural. Perhaps the police have more information than they are reporting. In any case, pedantry about what constitutes racist and what doesn’t only detracts from an issue that needs to be addressed so that kids growing up see that it is wrong and that calling out and denouncing racism is appropriate. People aren’t born racist, they learn it from others.
  25. So you believe that “mugs” on here are implying you are racist without actually saying it, but you don’t believe that black England players were targeted with racist abuse without seeing the evidence. Got it.
