Dunno if I have the energy for the Chelsea game. Another early kick off and you just get the feeling that even if we play well some colossal cunt with a whistle or an etch-a-sketch decides to award a goal/penalty against us or take one away.

Djenepo is just Boufal mark II. I’m sure there’s a player in there and I’m dying for him to show it but he just never does (apart from a couple of goals when he joined us). Week in week out we try to win with passengers on the team. That’s why we struggle vs 10 and 9 men, because we effectively start the game with 9 or 10 ourselves.

Just watched the two handball incidents again. Why do we bother watching this choreographed nonsense? Maybe they could just let me know they won’t be calling the game correctly and I can have a nice lie in after a busy tiring week? Who was on the VAR today? Mitch McConnell?

The problem is the lack of investment. We have the likes of McCarthy, Bertrand, Stephens, Redmond, Walcott, Adams and Djenepo getting into the starting XI. That’s going to weaken any team. These are all borderline EPL players. Yes some of them show a flash of brilliance once in a while but at this level it’s not good enough. We are an accident waiting to happen. Whether it is by our own doing or by the ref/VAR we have players with a non-EPL mentality who capitulate so easily and let their heads drop. We badly need good investment. I’m already worried for next season if we don’t (which we won’t).

I’m trying to be objective here but how is this allowed to happen time and time again? Ref decides penalty, VAR won’t overrule. Then we don’t get a decision that looks more clear cut and VAR won’t overturn. It’s just cheating because it’s up to one guy watching a screen. He decides the outcome. Then we have the Ings and Adams offsides where it’s clear they decided they didn’t want Saints to have a goal and made it so with blurry ball and ridiculous lines drawn. I got up early today to watch this and some tossers are deciding the outcome and not letting the players decide the outcome. Robbed. Ruining the game.
