In 88 we won the first 3 game against weaker teams (West Ham, Luton and QPR). This time out we’ve played some pretty decent teams. In all honestly I’m enjoying the games, not necessarily for the winning but for the way we play and just the general likability of our players.

Hmm, the challenge on Walcott on 75 minutes was worse than I thought at the time. But what VAR missed was that the defender hand-balled it while on the ground.

I missed the first 70 due to work, just watching now. What a finish by Adams. Wow!

To think of some of those Puel/Pelligrino/Hughes performances where we were clueless, slow, boring, ponderous, shot shy etc. We’d be furious with the players. In contrast is this team, so hard working and likeable. RH has worked wonders with some of the players who have belonged to both eras.

We were 2 nil up at Highbury in that game, would have been top with 12/12. Unfortunately that last gasp equalizer added on for, as you said, Paul Davis, killed us. Next game we were swept aside 3-1 at home to Liverpool.
