Much better pace from Saints in last 5-10 minutes. Promising move fizzled out when Redmond fell.

VVD definitely gives up a new dimension. He’s getting in dangerous positions.

Lemina with a pop at goal, coulda played in Long, but I think we need to shoot in these situations.

Boy we were utterly spoiled in those days. Such a genius. So many times he lit up a drab encounter with a sublime piece of skill. If we were awarded a penalty in those days you could start celebrating straight away before he even took it (Crossley aside). It would be interesting to see how he would be viewed on here if he was a player in this era. Let's face it, he's the greatest Saint and a sensational player but in some matches he'd barely move, ambling along with his hands inside his long sleeves. I could see a few of our current players giving him "gashton" like nicknames.

Not really answering the question in the thread. Do you go into old folks homes and shout, "you lot are really old! Some of you can't even walk anymore!!"?

Is this good though. We are such a nice club and sometimes it bites us in the ass. - all the coaches shaking Mourinho's hand letting him waste time. - Mourinho again commenting on the Lukaku song saying that the only lyrics he hears are when other fans tell him to go "somewhere", but not this game (paraphrasing) - Players rarely protest a decision by the ref (other teams have often got decisions through intimidation or making a real fuss when there is a questionable hand ball) - St Mary's is not scary for away teams like the Dell was (due to the design) and the atmosphere doesn't really pressure a ref to give a penalty to Saints (like that ridiculous Liverpool game a few seasons back where we should have had 2 penalties in the forst 10 minutes). - No real Roy Keane player who scares the living **** out of the oppo.

Shoot on sight policy. Seen too many situations where a blasted shot or curler were on but our forwards hesitate and look for a pass. Hit a few and stop overthinking it, if it’s saved, hopefully there is a juicy rebound for Long/Tadic or Redmond to miss...I mean bury.

Wow so quite low. But we are still lower than that if no one can remember the last one we scored.
