I spent hours, and at least £2.50 on flourescent A4 paper, writing out NO HODDLE placards for the game we played at Highbury which proceeded Hoddle not being appointed. I think i'm right in saying we started the Sturrock season with a win and a draw before Lowe sacked him. It wasn't the non-appointment of Hoddle that was the problem, it was weak leadership from Lowe in not supporting Paul Sturrock and the cheap option appointment of wigley as a replacement. Hoddles record post Saints says it all and personally i never liked the bloke when he was at saints after the way he wouldn't pick Le Tissier for England simply because Le Tissier snubbed his approach when he was manager of Chelsea. Lunatic Fringe me up!

There's something in the back of my mind about what Wilde apparently told Adrew Cowen following the SOS meeting. Did the SOS team tell Wilde they wanted him back or did Wilde make this up?
-
Yet he met the group who called themselves SOS. Why do that and not an open meeting?
-
Didn't the SOS people tell Wilde they wanted him back as chairman?

"Evolution not revolution" "Football First" "Total Football" What's the next soundbite going to be Micheal Wilde?

SaintMarc criticises the executives Michael Wilde, who appointed them?

Does Micheal Wilde agree with all Saint marcs comments?

Augustin Delgado says it all about Lowes football brain. Lowe knows absolutely nothing about football end of.
-
Agreed. I can understand fans getting behind the team on matchdays, but some of the posters on here give Mohammed Saïd al-Sahaf a run for his money. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s27Oq5ot0ZI

17/07/2008 DIRECTOR APPOINTED DAVID ROBERT MERRINGTON Whether it comes off or not i don't know, but the date above shows that the company has been pro-active in recently in appointing Dave Merrington. Dave Merrington is a Saints man through and through. I can't see him getting involved in something that's not got legs.

http://www.punchaceleb.com/hit/lowe We're closing in on top spot now. Another 1000 from me.
-
Will you still be liking it when we've played 3 lost 3?
-
The Lowe Luvvies said we'd be world beaters after the West Ham friendly. What went wrong?
-
If it wasn't for KD we'd have been hamered today. As expected our squad is utter ****e. League 1 beckons.
-
Top post. The PLC needs to cease to exist for Saints to rise again.
-
100% disagree. *We have a weak squad that will be cherry picked if any player shows form that a premiership club wants. *We have no money to "buy ourselves out of trouble" in January. *We have a chairman that divides the fanbase. The signs are all pointing towards there being more off-field AND on-field problems than during the Branfoot era or the final days of Lowes last stint.
-
I reckon we'll go down with the players we've got.
-
Whooooah. I don't believe the club is divided down the middle. In the real world (you know away from the internet) i've yet to meet a single saints fan who wants Lowe at the club.
-
Why? The Dutch carpet baggers are only here because no-one else wants them. Shearer would be fantastic and would attract both fans and players to St Marys.
-
Maybe not, but the considerable majority who are against Lowe (you know the ones who booed him at Claus's testimonial) are not going to suddenly change their minds. Face it me old mucker SAINTS ARE DIVIDED CLUB BECAUSE OF RUPERT LOWE, and that division will not go away until Lowe has packed his bags and gone. I don't know about anyone else but i'll never forgive Lowe and will boo him from the stands at every opportunity. Shame on those who don't.

When was the last season that you were as excited pre-season as this one?
Pongo replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Unless Saints start well i expect another season of turmoil off the pitch. Lowe should never have been allowed to return as his pressence means that fans won't be patient and the normal LOWE OUT service will soon be resumed. -
True. Philanthropists are very rare and usually have tie to the team they invest in. Jack Walker and John Haywood spring to mind. On the other hand a millionnaire or a consortium buying us is realistic. The big problem is the amount the likes of Lowe and Wilde want for their shares. What's good for SFC comes second to whats good for Lowe.
-
Apologoies for butting in on the Lowe Lovefest but i thought i'd just point that the season hasn't actually started yet.

Is there a function for ignoring threads started by attention seekers?
