Hello Michael.
-
Me thinks David Luker is an ebay addict.

I don't think i would, i know i would. Changes i would make... 1. A 20% discount for season ticket holders outside a 50 mile radius of the stadium. We used to have the highest %age of ST holders outside a 50 mile radius in our Premiership days - these supporters need winning back and with fuel prices so high it'd be a prudent move. With circa 15,000 empty seats each game capacity is not as issue - better to sell seats at a discount than not at all. 2. I would designate the Chapel Stand as the smoking stand - with a big cage erected at the rear of the stand that would be opened before the match and at half time. This would create a large bank of support IMO because smokers would also bring non smoking friends with them. 3. We have a serious issue with Kingsland dwellers being rather lathargic in their support. I would issue season ticket holders in this stand with a complimentary rattle and jesters hat. This would encourage a party spirit. 4. I would designate the front row of seats in the Itchen centre solely for the use of Ruperts ra ra girls. From here they can wave their pom poms and give the players a much needed boost. 5. Finally i would comission a statue of myself to stand next to dear old Teds. You can all then pay homage and thank me for being the bestest. This is my manifesto and i commend it to the supporters of Southampton Football Club.

Mike is a slippery operator, this latest gimic is classic Wilde. From day 1 he's tried to butter up "key" supporters. He was all for the fotb and proxying shares to the trust and he even took Keith Legg on a pre season tour of Sweden! I'm not at all surprised by his latest move.

This is the programme i watched on tv last night if anyone missed it. An interesting documentary. http://search.bbc.co.uk/click/p/3/ds/tvradio/t/The%2520Making%2520of%2520the%2520Iron%2520Lady/id/17231391147711235762012781760000000/sp/e89db4bd089f0ff26428fd351b6c56df/-/http%253a%252f%252fwww%252ebbc%252eco%252euk%252fiplayer%252fepisode%252fb00c13bf%252fThe%255fMaking%255fof%255fthe%255fIron%255fLady%252f

I bet your old mate Bern has never used that jibe though has he.
-
Now now lieutenant Gruber i think you need calm down. Try taking deep breaths into a paper bag - i'm told it can help.
-
To be fair, and i'm no fan of Mr Goodwin, they did communicate and make an effort in the early days, but i don't think many people bothered filling out the questionnaires and sending them back. However of late the situation has become really bad with Nick Illingsworth issueing statements based purely on his own personal opinion.
-
Not forgetting the turquois blue dimplex away kit.
-
Source please.

I don't respond to hypothetical questions.
-
lol, i think you've been holed up in your little tank for too long.
-
I'm not positive about tomorrow at all. Cardiff are good football team - we are not.
-
I've already told you via PM that you are wrong.
-
You call it abuse, i'd call it constructive criticism. When the Trust announced the proxies from Wilde and Crouch i was critical. When the Trust squandered money on shares - money that should have been used to build the Trust i was critical. When the Trust went all to get a fan on the board i told them Wilde was leading them up the garden path. When the Trust didn't give their true membership figure i was critical. As a fully payed up member at the time i think it was my right to constructively criticise. I did so because the decisions that were being made were ludicrous. I have been proved right on all counts. It's easy to lay blame on others, but the truth is that the Trust failed because of poor judgement by it's initial chairman and board.
-
Supporters direct is a Socialist concept. You have failed to answer my question - do you want Nick Illingsworth speaking on your behalf as the fan on the board?
-
That must have taken you ages to compile, it's a shame therefore that these are not my comments Sladey.
-
Nonsense, the whole ill thought out Socialist concept was cobbled together and is a complete failure. The very idea of an uber fan sitting on the board sends shivers down my spine. Let's assume Nick Illingsworth was this fan on the board - he would be voting and making decisions on behalf of the membership off his own back. You only have to look at his statements of late to realise this is precisely what would happen.
