Doesn't need to nursemaid the defence today.

Schneiderlin rampaging, whatever that means in Solentspeak
-
not according to Solent,
-
Norwich seem to be playing a bit ragged and dirty. Maybe we'll get a penalty soon.
-
not you... Dune
-
right, the post above confused me, he wrote Sturrock.
-
It's something they seem to learn to do the instant they sign for us, must be something in the water supply I suppose.
-
Is Thurrock not pronounced Thurrock then ?
-
what did you expect with Thomas and Perry in the side? That's Thomas's big problem; snail's pace, same with Perry. Reading the game is all very fine but it's worth diddly squat when you have a winger who can run the 100 in about 10.2 and still juggle the ball at the same time, sure they can 'read' the game, from the half-way line looking back.

After NC told him to win that would be taking this p*ss a bit wouldn't it.

In the little video that was the backdrop to APs preview the other day Barnard and Lambert were practising their close range scoring skills, got better as well.
-
It would seem that Semi is our current first choice right back as long as Murty is absent (which will be always),probably better than Thomas as well.

I went for no betting at all...guaranteed return..all the money I haven't given to the bookies.

Would you sign Papa Waigo N'Diaye on a permanent basis?

Still don't know, not instinctive enough in front of goal. -
You only have to look at the ludicrous number of games played by some of our players to understand that the cups were a giant distraction.40 games for Lambert, 35/36 for lads who are just out of youth team age group, it's far too much.
-
what happened? AP didn't mention that in his preview, must be recent.

I don't think many of you actually understand the role of the central midfield players. They are there to win the ball and distribute it. Their role does not include charging into the opposition's box and scoring shedloads of goals, they are the dustbin men of football, you need them but it's no good counting on them to cook up cordon bleu meals. That's down to Lallana and whoever the other attacking midfielder is.The rub lies in the fact that we have no effective second striker to score on a regular basis and that Antonio who is often used in League games hasn't ,as yet, scored a league goal. Lambert gets his share (a few from free kicks and penalties) Lallana has 10 on his counter but we don't have that second free scoring striker we need. Connolly was the man but as he hasn't played for weeks now he's just got 4 league goals. We need Puncheon to get goals, we need Antonio or Waigo to get goals because Lambert is doubled teamed all of the time.

HMRC don't give a toss about where the money comes from, as long as someone pays it that's all they want.
-
far too slow
-
Yes but if FIFA allow them to sell players outside the window Gold could pay them 15 million for Belhadj and not even play him, just wait until the summer and sell him on to Barcelona. It would all be so easy for anyone to "loan" them money by the back door now. We probably helped them out by turning up in mass and letting the bastards win thus gifting them another half a million or so. They will not go out of business and will be above us for another year at least, probably more because they'll get parachute payments and "investment". God I hate those bastards.
-
And they won't, they(apparently) have someone interested in buying out the current owners and Gold has offered to lend them 10 million to save the 4 points West Ham have taken off them. That won't be allowed but sooner or later by some back door process or other someone will bail them out rather than lose the points that they gained against Skate. I just knew it was too good to be true, the fishy few wiped off of the football scene for ever.
-
Because they have scored 67 goals and we have only scored 47, true they've played 3 games more, still a lot of difference though.
-
A truly hypothetical and academic discussion, they won't go out of business this season and we won't get back into the FA Cup.If they were going to go bust it would have been last week, they will wheel and deal and cheat and whinge until someone says righto then here's enough to pay off the Revenue and don't do it again you naughty boys. Then they will go into admin and follow a path very similar to our own.
-
Because Norwich score a lot of goals and we don't get anywhere near as many. It's football, the reason one side is a lot "better" than another is all about the ability to put the ball into the back of the net at virtually every chance you get. We saw that last week, if we could do what is primordial in football, stick the ball in the onion net, we would have won about 4-1, we didn't and we lost 4-1 A player can be absolutely f**k awful for 88 minutes out of 90, if he does what he's paid to do for the other 2 minutes you win 2-0.We have far too many players who miss easy chances, it cost us in 2005, last year and will probably cost us our play-off place this year.We have missed a hatful of sitters of late, goals that would have gained us 6 to 8 points. It's something we don't do well and I presume it's because we don't have a coach talented enough to work on the finishing of our "strikers".
