DON'T bank on Saints v Pompey being Live on ITV.
Window Cleaner replied to CLOTH EARS's topic in The Saints
wasn't it the collapse of some ITV deal or other that put so many lower league clubs into financial difficulty? and yet they still show live football. -
Poirot spoke French, he was a walloon.Although most government agents would now be required to be fluent in at least 2 of the 3 official languages practised in Belgium. How do I know this ? I dated a Belgian civil servant for a number of years, she did the best BJ in the history of mankind.

less access would be my guess. I'm sure that the new regime continued the old regime's clear out of old fogies who could be relied upon to tip off all their "contacts" with inside information.

Right, no point in freezing your bollx off in Poland when you can scrub about in the Greek sunshine for twice the pay. Something incongruous in there though, wasn't he on the bench for us last Saturday?
-
Still a bit silly of them giving him what looks like a 2 year contract straight away, they could have taken him on loan with an option and they'd have got 6 good months out of him.

Don't ITV show about 4 live games each round though? .We got 4 on France 4 last weekend, presume they all came from ITV as Sky only sell to Canal + usually. -
doesn't say they paid anything for him though,
-
But today he'd have posted his 3 times already and if he gets slagged off (not that it happens on this forum very often:cool:) he'd have to wait until tomorrow to reply, which is fairly annoying if you have something to say that really can't wait..or so you think anyway.£5 really isn't that much anyway.

Wouldn't want him, far far too green for League 1.

well as they'll be getting 1.6 million in TV money which had been withheld I guess they might just pay some players (or staff) at the end of the month. They're probably not all that skint but these sheikh lads do like to haggle over everything. However they do need to do something about their matchday attendances, they can't go on for ever on 11K or whatever it is. We'll still beat them anyway. Our side is vastly superior to theirs, just that we're playing in a league which doesn't suit our style.

Radio Suffolk certainly picked it up in their commentary,
-
Having listened to only the Ipswich commentary last Saturday I was quite surprised just how more factual it was than the usual Solent effort. I'm not a fan of Whispering Dave and his interventions often seem totally pointless to me, the bloke on Suffolk was certainly sharper (and less biased) in his analysis.

It's like most situations, some people can look at a room for a few seconds and remember it virtually completely, some can look at it for half an hour and then ask themselves if there were 4 walls or 5.Some people have incredibly analytical minds some have to ask the same question 5 times before they grasp the answer.I once did a stretch at some awareness institute or other,on the first day they put you in room with thousands of objects none of which were particularly extraordinary, they told you to mentally list all the red objects or all the white objects,2 hours later you had to remember all the square things or all the black things or whatever.Sounds easy but it sure sorts the observant from the rest.

Probably because there's extra police leave demands for Valentine's Day.
-
strange how he shifts from he'll to he will without making any emphasis change though.
-
do they actually deliver down your way?

Is the Echo office no longer in Above Bar? no wonder the rag has gone down hill, can't write tranchant news stories from the provinces.

you'd make a great agony aunt St clark
-
You are joking right?? Football is a man's game played by men for men. We don't need dancing girls or breaks in play on Valentine's day to nip out to buy a bunch of daffs in case the wife didn't see eye to eye with us about going to the game.
-
but Mutch is only on loan for 1 month (initially) probably because they can't afford Gillett, he got a new deal in 2008 (once again I think) and I'm sure that even skint as we were we probably pay more than Doncaster. So he'll sit out the remaining 6 months of his contract with us and then see what's on offer in June.

what's 500k (probably 700) when you owe 50 million? I might remind you that playing against Utd last season with 32K in the ground at 30£ a ticket didn't help our cause very much. Skate need to sell players, a lot of them, in the next 7 days or else they'll be wound up as they have no income and massive debts. The side they'll turn out on Feb 13/14 will resemble the one they put out on Saturday, the ANC players will be the first out of the door.Their monthly salary bill is probably about 2.5 million, it's not the receipts from 10K spectators (of which they owe 45% to Sunderland) that will help them pay it.

couldn't reduce it any more because he'd already served 1 match, they could have given him a get out of jail card for next time though I suppose. More importantly he won't get fined so much (because cards sometimes have a financial kick in the arse as well) either by the FA or by the club.
