We probably only signed Martin to play in the reserves anyway. Is it obligatory for League 1 teams to have a reserve side? None of the above will ever come to much, if they had any prospects AP wouldn't be throwing cash at anyone who has a pair of boots and isn't in our reserves.

Skacel scored a shedload of goals in Scotland but didn't do much for us. Falkirk are the worst team in the Scottish prem apparently,their own manager said they were useless in their last game. This lad needs to prove himself in the Conference or something before anyone pays good money for him. We have 3 midfielders James, Hammond and Morgan, play them in a 442 with Lallana and 2 strikers or in 451 with Antonio (or Papa) and 1 striker and they're all we need.Whilst Hammond is unavailable we need to play James,Morgan and Wotton and Gillett or Gobern if necessary.We have gone transfer crazy of late.We had a team that was winning games, we change it and it goes tits up.

So we're going to pay money for him and then sit him on the bench to watch Lallana,Lambert,Antonio and Barnard play all the attacking roles? I'll believe it when I see it on the OS cos it makes no sense to me, we are top heavy with wingers and attackers and advanced midfielders.

Maybe a decent player but like I said on a thread earlier it will be just one more player and then just one more again and again with AP, he obsessed with buying players who we have no real need of. What's he going to do now play 4-2-5 and let our midfield get overrun every time? Unless of course Lallana is leaving.

It's nothing to do with the players in themselves, it's trying to fit 4 square pegs into 2 round holes.Lallana starts virtually every game,Antonio is a regular starter as well, yet when you look at the MK Dons JPT game we were probably better by far than last night,why ? because we started with 3 real midfielders and Antonio and Lallana partnered Lambert in attack.When you start with 2 front men and Lallana you have to sacrifice a real midfielder to make way for Antonio.That's why our 2 get overun by the oppositions 4 because Lallana and Antonio have no defensive qualities.

He has an ankle injury, maybe the same one that kept him out for 3 months or so earlier this season. I don't know, it was obvious we wouldn't take a chance on him before we saw how that reacted to playing a couple of games.

He does know what his best side is, the one we have plus "one more" player that we don't yet have, after that it will be just one more and then one more;;ad infinitum. We have all we need, we just need to use them correctly as do all the other successful clubs in our division. I'm not knocking AP but we do have too many players and some must be earning far more than others, I suspect those signed under the new regime are on far better deals than those we had before, that will lead to trouble eventually.

Nope, 4 out of each 6 will only give us 70 at the end of the season, and that will be about 8 short of the ante.It's easy we need to win 15,draw 3 and lose but 2 of our last 20 games or any other permutations that will lead to us obtaining 78 points or more.

Lets face it AP has signed too many players and now he wants to play them all all of the time, whether they are an improvement on what we had or not. His persistence with Lallana is amazing because he wants to play Antonio all the time as well, there's certainly not room for 2 strikers plus Antonio and Lallana in our side.

I think Glasgow's point,in which he has been fairly consistent all season, not that it make him right of course, is that AP isn't really consistently getting the best out of the players at his disposal.

Doubt if it's really the system at fault.We have too many fairies starting every game for a 4-4-2 to work, if you want to start Lallana, Barnard and Lambert (not that they're fairies) then you have to forego say Antonio or any other player without ball winning qualities because Lallana certainly isn't going to frighten tough opposition midfielders in tackles.We've got the balance wrong you need 1 player who just knows how to win the ball, 2 who know how to win it and use it and 1 more to profit from the work of these 3 to set up the front line.If you want to use 2 wide players then you have to go 4-5-1, what we're playing sounds more like a 4-3-1-2 set up to me.

Nope we need at least 48 more to have any chance. Do you see Swindon or Huddersfield falling apart right now? They're the only teams we can catch and it will take nigh on 80 points to do it. In short we have no chance, players probably know that and the cup games are probably far more important to them just now. AP just keeps banging on about the league being a priority to have an excuse to spend more money.Spending has to stop right now, we don't have a snowflake in hell's chance of making the play-offs so why waste money on it now. JPT and 1 more win in the FA Cup are all that counts now.Plus not getting relegated of course, but that won't happen.
