No one worried at the level of spending..?
Window Cleaner replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
I don't think Abramovich has wiped out anything, he's just converted his loans into capital parts.Probably means he takes anything Chelsea make in a season and sticks it in his pocket. anyway what Sullivan says is that most prem teams have already borrowed against future ticket money and all TV revenue. -

I think that if you look at our goals against column compared to that of Leeds and Colchester you'll see why AP puts such a premium on really good CHs.We are conceding too many goals, what's the point of Lambert and the midfield busting their butts to score against the better defences if you have donkeys giving them away at the other end twice as fast. -

Still it's the manager's (I suppose) decision not to play him isn't it. If he were asked to play I doubt if he could refuse and still get paid. Unless he has a silly contract which says no League 1 football or something. I presume we are not playing him to save bonus money based on appearances,he probably doesn't want to play in League 1 so there's no point in throwing away good bonus money for substandard effort.

Neither are many of the people running Premiership clubs but if you read what David Sullivan has to say about their finances it is quite disturbing. -
Surely Storrie spoke about all this on Solent a while back. He explained that each new owner pumps in cash which just goes to pay the previous owner's director loans. What El Faraj put in went to the last bloke, his money went to Gaydamak and so on.The new money just replaces the old with the bait of the Premiership windfall hooking them every time.

Didn't someone manage to fake the OS this afternoon as well, or was it an inside job? Hacker Jerkoff, favoured expression of McClane in DieHard 4

I'm very wary of Stock, sometimes serious ankle injuries take a long time to really heal. I certainly wouldn't pay a lot of money for him just now, loan at best is all he'd get from me...not that it matters. If he can be replaced at Donny by Gillett well...
-
Nobody can be happy with Murty (although it's not his fault) 5 league starts from 24 isn't a core player statistic. Still James may be up to the job, just that a lot of people who know about football say he isn't.
-
I thought AP spoke of just a couple more players in his Solent interview(after Fonté had signed).
-
Stock, Danns,Fonté,Ward ...nope no right backs in there. We are(perhaps) signing players we don't need, I hope A.P knows what he's doing (if of course any of these sure thing rumours are correct). If not NC will fall on him like a ton of bricks. One thing a Swiss banker cannot stand...spending money with no results to show for it, it's their motto.
-
still can't quite see why we want him now, unless Jaidi is going to be dropped to the bench,we are going to completely revise our system or A.P is going to play Fonté in a role in front of the back 4. Seems like we're spending money where we don't need to and not really concentrating on our remaining weak points, ie right back.
-
pity, he needs games, don't think he's played for them since September.
-
Without having followed the Stock thread I'd be amazed if any club takes a big punt on him right now, hasn't he just come back from an ankle operation? Probably played 1 game since.
-
Most of them who have reached the 4th round of the FA Cup,have a JPT final in view and who are getting 20K gates from players who are mostly on League 1 salaries. The club is making money from a lot of games, some of it is being spent on the people who are making it happen.
-
except that James played most of last season at right back as well. Something about him must makes coaches and managers think that he's a right back.
-
But Murty is injured most of the time, 5 league starts from 24 isn't what you'd expect from a core player.
-
Wouldn't happen at my place, unless one of them had lost a 20 euro note

I mean your average employee wouldn't have anything much to do with Cortese anyway. Doubt if he makes the tea and hands out the biccys really.Must be a fairly senior person.

Another 'big' signing, according to JackanorySFC

Not Wes Brown at right back then, after last week's game he's certainly fit in with "not doing so well". Principal architect of their humiliating loss I'd say. Still other criteria probably not so exact. -

Sir Alex doesn't have rows with players, he just gives them bollikings when necessary. However so as not to appear too wimpish I expect they make out that they gave as good as they got, which isn't the case. -
the weather certainly won't, minus 18 brrrr

Sounds like a good man to have at the helm then. Far far too many employees seem to think companies should be run in a manner which falls half way between a greek democracy and a vicars tea party.

If that's anywhere near right it's a very good deal for us.
