  1. No transfer fee usually equates to higher salries for decent players.
  2. If wishes were horses beggars would ride as my Gran used to say. 25 million is a lot of money and I really can't see many teams being willing to pay it. The 8/13 quote is just based on one brief Canal+Sport "fact". Last season he was about 1/4 to join Spurs.
  3. All I can tell ou is that if you're looking at booking hotels you need to do it quickly because of the festival occuring in the city at the time of our game with them. Had to go for one on the high side myself, then again I was a bit lazy and didn't search much..
  4. Perhaps it's a weeny bit more complicated than that. From the little I"ve seen of it in the Spanish press the "default amount" and the loan fee were roughly equal. Perhaps we didn't pay them the loan fee initially and it would have been added to the transfer fee in the event of a permanent deal this summer. So perhaps we haven't paid them and they thus don't need to pay us at all before selling him on to the highest bidder.
  5. Don't you think that with all these social media outlets that transfer speculation is just getting wilder and wilder. I mean some of it used to be factual, now it's 99.9% bolloaks. Had a look through some of it this afternoon, it's just gotten out of hand. To think that fools lose money to bookies because of these "certs" is just shameful. Best bet ? Bet on every player that the on line turf accounts quote to stay with the club he's actually with. I mean you could get really good odds on Dani Alves signing back on at Barca a week ago, Morgan at 6/1 to stay at Saints looks like a good deal as well.
  6. When's their first pre-season game ? About then I expect.
  7. Watched the first half, I'd have to say that England look like a school XI, kick and rush alternating with ball hogging by what I presume is supposed to be the CF. A lot of defensive errors as well.
  8. Well unless you're Nathaniel Clyne of course I can't see that that would make all that much difference.
  9. Most likely option for him, he'll probably do well there.
  10. How long is a piece of string ? Same question really.
  11. Same as most other players then, AS Rome is the Italian Arsenal for agents. L'Equipe says Van der Wiel is going to Man U, mind you they sometimes get it wrong.
  12. Because it's so selective. I mean if they made a compilation of Shelvey long shots to the top corner you'd think great, then if they made another one with the 15 or 16 that end up in Row Z for each one that doesn't you'd think what a pile of shîte. I mean Steve De ridder looked good on YouTube right? And Tadanari Lee, probably even Mayuka as well..
  13. In his case about 6 kg of muscle. I'm sure we can remedy that though, if he has the will to stick it out until then, think he likes us and wants to stay though so it may come about.
  14. Then again Arsenal and Barcelona are usually linked to everyone..before the players concerned usually end up at Inter, Villareal and West Ham.
  15. Van der Wiel to Utd...no idea where Clyne may end up, probably at Saints. Think you can get quite good odds on that actually.
  16. No idea, read it somewhere that's all, plays for Besiktas at the moment I believe.
  17. Train for me, 86 euros, not bad at all.
  18. Nope, Gokun Tore...something like that, winger/AM apparently....
  19. Who's this Turkish bloke that we're supposed to be keen on then.
  20. In fact failing to get 126 in a day and a half would be a bit of a let down really.
  21. That was 2 years or so ago, since then he's got splinters in his bum from the rustic bench at PSG. Screamers? the odd one yes, but he still only scored 17 goals in total at Newcastle in 3 seasons at Newcastle. Since then he's scored 1 in 36 at PSG. Take away the penalties and the free kicks and you get a completely different player. Vastly overated and getting slower by the minute, should have been sent off on Sunday because his lack of pace forced him to hack down Hazard (I think) in the crudest of manners.
  22. I like Djuricic for his obvious ability but he gets knocked off of the ball so very easily that I fear that he won't come to much. Perhaps as the article says playing against U21s where there still might be less muscle and power might boost his confidence..to be seen though.
  23. Especially as we're starting to get knocked about a bit, 3 consecutive 4s off Bird in this over. Still plenty of leeway but I doubt we'll be wanting to have to get much more than 200 or so.
  24. Not when your team is built to reach the latter stages of the CL and you get knocked out because of a shameful performance at home to one of the weakest sides in the competition.
