  1. I think just adding not before leading would about sum it up. We don't pay enough and we won't pay enough to QPR.
  2. Sometimes....dual national me. Certainly don't live in England, haven't done for over 30 years.
  3. Do the English really understand the Number 10 role ? Think Zidane,Platini,Baggio,Cantona, Hoddle at a push. Players of exceptional talent and vision who dictate the way games are played, it's not speedy wide men who like to drift inside, there you're thinking 9 and a half..
  4. Clasie and Cedric = 20 million at the very most, Gueye about 5 or 6, Song about the same, in the elevated world of the upper regions of the PL these are bargain basement prices.
  5. Did Poch lose the plot or was he told to "maximise value" on the Academy products? We always seem to be unclear on that, now the other week Reed was saying, Yep Academy lads are going to take up all the slack from the Europa League games and yet we seem to be running after quite a lot of bargain basement players just now (well the press think we are anyway). Cedric,Juanmi, Clasie, Gueye etc...where do they fit into the schema of things if we don't actually sell anyone?
  6. In fact I think we do want to sell him...we just say we don't. Or perhaps Reed doesn't particularly want to sell him but Koeman does, there seem have been mixed messages from some of their soundbites.
  7. Who knows, we might have shopped them over it, wait and see time. That would be quite amusing, taking 16 million off of them for a dud and then shopping them for the way in which they did it...Machiavelli get out of here.
  8. They should be charged with being seriously doolallytat and interned for a few years. 16 million for Chambers ? Do you think we hypnotise scouts who come to St Mary's and show them films of Messi with a (name player) mask or something. Anyway it's probably just a minor unlicensed agent thingy.
  9. Hindsight be arsed, I said last summer that Shaw wasn't worth the fee being asked for him, in fact I said no-one would pay it, Utd just got rolled over on him. Shaw can't defend correctly and can't seem to do anything useful with the ball when he gets forward. Perhaps he's just not too intelligent.
  10. Evidently not, but if we can get as good for half of the price he's obviously overpriced. Although money is awash in the PL nowadays clubs are starting to think twice about silly transfers and to rate a 25 million £ fee you need to have something that Morgan doesn't have... European level Club Experience. We sold too many busts last season to get away with it again...unfortunately for the player. If we're not prepared to drop our fee by at least 5 million I think he might still be here next season and that may well affect him adversely. We rate an Europa League winner at 9 million and yet we're asking 25 for a player who's never even had a sniff of European football.
  11. It certainly didn't but Shaw was never worth the price Utd paid for him, he had nothing about him to warrant such a fee except a lot of press hype. Bertrand was always the far better player and Utd should have bought him and not sick note Shaw. Perhaps that's Morgan's case as well..overated and overpriced.
  12. To be fair Milner and Ings are excellent signings who just happened to be available at the end of their contracts. Trouble is you can only get that sort of players for free (or significantly less because it's a tribunal that decides) if you are prepared to pay the type of salary that few clubs can.
  13. So you think in fact that we can get a player of equal quality for half of the price. No wonder no side is falling over itself to meet our valuation then when there's as good for half of it available.
  14. No transfer fee usually equates to higher salries for decent players.
  15. If wishes were horses beggars would ride as my Gran used to say. 25 million is a lot of money and I really can't see many teams being willing to pay it. The 8/13 quote is just based on one brief Canal+Sport "fact". Last season he was about 1/4 to join Spurs.
  16. All I can tell ou is that if you're looking at booking hotels you need to do it quickly because of the festival occuring in the city at the time of our game with them. Had to go for one on the high side myself, then again I was a bit lazy and didn't search much..
  17. Perhaps it's a weeny bit more complicated than that. From the little I"ve seen of it in the Spanish press the "default amount" and the loan fee were roughly equal. Perhaps we didn't pay them the loan fee initially and it would have been added to the transfer fee in the event of a permanent deal this summer. So perhaps we haven't paid them and they thus don't need to pay us at all before selling him on to the highest bidder.
  18. Don't you think that with all these social media outlets that transfer speculation is just getting wilder and wilder. I mean some of it used to be factual, now it's 99.9% bolloaks. Had a look through some of it this afternoon, it's just gotten out of hand. To think that fools lose money to bookies because of these "certs" is just shameful. Best bet ? Bet on every player that the on line turf accounts quote to stay with the club he's actually with. I mean you could get really good odds on Dani Alves signing back on at Barca a week ago, Morgan at 6/1 to stay at Saints looks like a good deal as well.
  19. When's their first pre-season game ? About then I expect.
  20. Watched the first half, I'd have to say that England look like a school XI, kick and rush alternating with ball hogging by what I presume is supposed to be the CF. A lot of defensive errors as well.
  21. Well unless you're Nathaniel Clyne of course I can't see that that would make all that much difference.
  22. Most likely option for him, he'll probably do well there.
  23. How long is a piece of string ? Same question really.
