Who isn't ...
-
Progress there then.
-
I don't watch OM but apparently he's good at some things and is work in progress on others. Avenue says he's shîte hot, don't know enough about him to say otherwise really.
-
the team is not useless but I'm beginning to think that the coaching might be.
-
Just shows the effect a bad side can have on a decent player. We've seen the effect that a good side can have on an average player as well..unsurprising football is a team game.
-
It's even easier than that, OM need money, Bielsa wants players because a few have left on frees and need replacing so they're probably hawking anyone they think they can sell to anyone they think might buy any of them. Anyway Spurs obviously didn't take it too seriously..for the time being at least, because they bid about 9 million £.
-
However did they manage that, everyone seems to know what's required. 2 million € now and a further 18 in a year's time. They probably bid 2 milion now and nothing else. Player seems to favour Porto or Valencia where he'd get CL football...apparently. L'Equipe are also now saying that Porto have bid 25 million outright via one of their 3rd party schemes.

Stoke is a waste of a good anything.

I'm sure that someone will be along soon to explain today's batting catastrophy to us.

At a guess I'd say it was something to do with being led up garden paths. -
Schneiderlin Joins Manchester United (Official)

No, probably not because he's already been there and done that...twice. Anyway Thiago Motta seems set to leave PSG so we'll have to see just how that affects the Cabaye situation. -

No but seriously we've had a very bad week, 2 T20 losses in a row punctuated by an utter humiliation in the Championship. We just do not have the players we need to compete just now. Edwards get's his act into shape..hup off to some other championship for a while. Vince is right out of form and we're playing makeweights such as Terry and the lad from last night. The only thing you can say really is that another week as bad as the last is extremely unlikely from a probability point of view.
-
So 134 is what exactly ?? If we'd limited them to 180 it might have been a whole different affair really. Catastrophically bad bowling, 61 off of 6 is bad,212 from 20 is just rank amateur.
-
What has any of that got to do with Spurs ?
-
Depends how much is involved really. Players aren't to be taken too seriously when they evoke their future in the popular dailys.
-
But a massive blow that we have no doubt foreseen, it's not something that has suddenly occured in the last few days. He's been saying it's up to AM since the turn of the year or so and the chances of us being the highest bidder were always...well slight.

the PL is the only Top League that does not contain chronicly weak teams, I mean some aren't so great but compared to the likes of Eibar, Paderborn and Cesena they are still decent sides. This is also one of the reasons that players involved in the PL are often less effective internationally, the PL wears them down because there are no easy games where you just need to turn up to win. It certainly affects English teams in Europe.

as did I win the case of Falcao at Utd, he was even crap at Monaco...why anyone would pay money for him or consider him a "wow" signing I just couldn't say. He had 1 good season at Atletico and has been milking that ever since. Some do not seem to understand that in a league containing teams like Elche,Almeria and Eibar scoring goals is not a major problem. If there was anything to be learnt from Soldado's transfer to Spurs this was it.
-
didn't some of his uncles play for the Skates ? 2 brothers I think.

Which is why of course OUR batting came up 70 odd short. Will Smith opening the bowling doesn't seem like a recipe for success in one day cricket really. They all got hammered and from the little that I saw of the game they were rank awful.
