  1. And how does it do that, Liverpool wanted him, he asked to be allowed to go, the board let him, how does that make him a class act. He's a good footballer at the end of his career and the offer was probably too good to turn down.
  2. Why is he such a cert, big fish from a small pond, certainly no guarantee that he'll do anything in the PL, no guarantee that he won't either but he was poor at Valencia and indifferent in Portugal. Moyes was certain to do well at Utd right ??
  3. Added to the fact that Danny Murphy knows anything about modern tactics....well it doesn't really stand up as an opinion.
  4. With Fulham you never know who's in a job and who isn't. Apparently the cancelled Hangelaand's ongoing contract by e-mail yesterday.
  5. He did indeed.
  6. Someone has probably seen him in the vicinity of SMS, taxi driver or something.
  7. Fulham were crap, would need a genius to change that.
  8. What makes you think he's any worse than Bruce,Dyke or Koeman...really ? Now down to sevens, money must be pouring in on him, with just one operator though.
  9. I do think that if the "board" hadn't talked themselves into a corner he's be long gone by now. Liverpool are offering far more than he's worth and the deal should be done, that it isn't is probably because of some dubious spouting of crap.
  10. Not done enough for me, Dutch football is a real backwater compared to the PL.
  11. But the 4 who suspended odds on him last night aren't, would I be right there ? They've obviously got too much money on board and are dubious about taking any more, even at a very short price.
  12. Wouldn't be my first choice either but I'd prefer him to Koeman tbh. I don't want Koeman.
  13. For your average upper end footballer playing for a small(er) club with dubious ambitions then a move to a CL side with the salary that goes with it is indeed a dream move. Just cannot see why so many fail to see that we are now going nowhere and that our better players want to progress in their careers. We need to let them go, above all Shaw because clubs seem to be willing to pay far more than he's actually worth. Wait and see, this will backfire on us when they prove their real level in the WC.
  14. He's British and Reed is choosing I expect.
  15. last night certain show them as suspended, on previous oveernights suspended doesn't appear. http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/southampton/next-permanent-manager/bet-history/ronald-koeman/today
  16. probably because they're suspended, temporarily or not I couldn't say.
  17. Now what did Harold Wilson say, "a week is a long time in football", something like that.
  18. Much sought after if you believe rumours, although those said to have already put in bids for him are only going up to about 8 million €s just now.
  19. But then wouldn't clubs need to respect them for managers as well ? Obviously they reach a pay off settlement, might be the totality of the contract might be less but players can't just pay up their contract and walk away.
  20. So the short list of 6 is a non-goer then ? I was looking forward to that being published actually.
  21. Well yes but footballers oscillate between sick as a parrot and over the moon quite easily.
  22. Certainly not, but medical facilities are freely available in Miami no doubt and the American owners of Liverpool would probably know exactly where to find them.
  23. Why not Rotterdam at 18.10 then, does he not live there ?
  24. There will be a free day or so in their programme before the real games start, players are usually at full liberty to do what they want in that time, within reason of course.
  25. No the Bournemouth cut cannot be contourned by that sort of manoeuvre. We can do what we like but at the end of the day if they aren't certain that we've played fair there will be a tribunal valuation. We're stuck with it unfortunately, at the end of the day someone has to give them 25% of the correct fee. I am sure that when they were desperate in the days of Lifelong Xerox Salesman we could have negociated our way out of it but now anything less than a lot won't get the job done.
