Still Barnard looks to be out of contract this summer anyway,3 year deal in summer 2011 can't see that we'll have prolonged that would have been a reward for promotion I suppose, so in fact we've loaned him out now and will probably just have to take him back onto the payroll for part of May and the month of June then, plus of course the handsome subsidies that we'll be giving Southend.. Might save about 60K on the whole deal, these sums are peanuts when you consider that 1 more cup game will now probably bring us in about half a million £.
-
Jeez how much contract can Barnard possibly have left with us then ?
-
the "deadwood" we've offloaded will have cost as just as much as if we'd paid them until June anyway, with the exception of Sharp perhaps, in his case we'll probably be subsidising over 50% of his salary. We've simply paid off Martin and Barnard as likely as not. Something Cortese seemed to refuse to do. I noticed Gazza wasn't apparent in the training gallery today, is that because he's injured or have we finally accepted that he needs to play at his actual level a bit for him to hope to ever improve?
-
Why ? We don't want him because he's not good enough, let him go wherever he can get a contract. He's had a couple of chances elsewhere and not proven himself, might not get anything much better than Pompey.
-
translating for Dani at West Ham I expect.
-
If he's anything like Forren we'll all feel relieved that he's not signing for us.
-
Well apparently he was pretty shîte at Torrey Pines last week so you'd better find a lower class of scrubber for him as he's obviously on the downward slopes.
-
Brilliant reply, now that's a good journalist. However all petrol engines are now injection and don't have carburettors, unless it's a very old model of course, what pre-1995 or so.
-
why do you all keep calling them price pikeys, surely it's prize pikey, a price pikey must be someone who shops in Poundland surely.
-
But there the questor obviously has far more imagination than the agony aunt. Why you could have written that question Bearsy, plenty of imagination shown there. Internet has opened up whole new fields of titilation to those with a bit of imagination. Would have got a wholly different reply from the Pompey Evening News I expect.
-
no it was a long time ago, you only have to look at Women's Own to see the sort of responses though.
-
We should loan him to Pompey, the ultimate punishment.
-
wouldn't want the wimp here anyway , when Argentina win the world cup he'll have proved he's good enough for the PL but not before.
-
Well yes and not just the once, I was at Uni for 7 years. I was a kept bloke for 2 MSc years when I was walking out with a journalist for some fancy magazine or other. Then again before she got that plum job she let me help her write the agony aunt replies for a much crapper mag that she started working for after leaving the LSE so I kinda paid my way because those Ag Aunt replies were stunners..

Which is the age old method of going about it, you buy girls drinks, dinners, snacks and help them with their first year theoretical physics essays and they put out. I really don't think I'd get on very well with this straight to the point pay up and sh@g me stuff. Mind you at 25£ a go it might be cheaper, takes away the "hunter" element though.
-
he made it up I expect.
-
JRod is the normal penalty taker after Rickie, then Steve Davis I think, but if we get one when we're 2 or more up with 5 minutes left we need to hand it to Luke or Jack Cork.
-
And why not, he looked really handy in the SP highlights, could have had 3 or 4 goals, it was Yeovil though. He looks quick, he moves about well and he looks to have good control of the ball. Just what you need to unsettle the Arse. Don't doubt we'll have staid old Lambert instead though because perhaps Woy will be there.
-
Anyway he was either just 19 or still 18. It was in winter and he scored after not long on the pitch. Went on to score a lot of goals in his first full season after that. Steve wasn't a schoolboy saint though, he came from elsewhere .
-
Well I think there are journalists but they can't publish what he says until tomorrow.
-
don't know what the world's coming to, used to be able to get all that stuff (and more) FOC from women of very similar appearance any time, any where. I blame University Fees and the lack of student grants myself. Gals didn't used to need money so desperately and if they did, well they got a barmaids job so that they could earn money and then let blokes tup them for free.

Wasn't the Chinese Central Bank pumping up liquidity to banks recently because of their new year holidays or something. Said banks expected major cash demands at this term of year.

Victor played at CB for Celtic on quite a few occasions, I suppose if you wanted to know enough you could go back and see how he did there, got the impression that he even turned out in a couple of CL games at CB.
-
Still reckon we'll play Victor at CB when he's fully fit and until Dejan is back, probably José and Maya tomorrow though. Then we have a choice, go with Jose and Maya again at Fulham but play 3 CMs in front of them with Victor in a very deep role or just test Victor at CB anyway. Usually played on the right though so the first option may be the best. Look at last January's TW, we bought Forren for about 3.5 million and he never even got to play for us..mainly because he's crap. Scandinavian CBs are vastly overated, long strips of urite who may be good in the air but they're crap on the deck, where PL football is played in the main. That's why they're a dying breed in PL football.

Ah this one looks a bit more like it Oskar Pogorzelec Polish U21 keeper, Can't see that we'd be short of youth keepers either though. Still at least an international.
