  1. Lallana spoke after last week's game I think. Didn't he play down the whole affair. It's always all on the OS, you only need to check it out. JWP has spoken today as well I believe.
  2. was Osvaldo really suspended for the Yeovil game anyway, thought he was available again after his FA suspension. Think the journo hasn't done his homework correctly.
  3. It's Yeovil FFS, the U21s could probably beat Yeovil because they really aren't all that good. 15 defeats so far this season and they have a 20% win record in the league.5 wins out of 25 .
  4. He was still at Sochaux on Tuesday or Wednesday, cup game, came on as a sub after an hour. They still lost to a D2 team though...utter rubbish are Sochaux...........
  5. Perhaps he just needs to be with other fruit loops more often.
  6. Well I don't know how some of the lads might react to a bloke getting suspended for 3 games when we kind of needed him, then there are the injuries and the fact that he just didn't own up and get suspended when he was injured, not that that may have been his decision. He's highly paid and not pulling his weight in what seems to be a tight knit all for one and one for all group.
  7. Still if we can arrange a loan deal for him it allows us to ship out a player when we said we weren't going to do that, if you presume that Maurico wanted to retain Osvaldo that is which I'd presume he did up until yesterday. Rounds off the edges on an eventual deal that might be seen to go against what was said. Still I doubt that it's been engineered that way on purpose, we could have easily invented ways less painful to José than that.
  8. We won't, they'll be capable of beating Yeovil and that's what's necessary really.
  9. As long as the team we put out is good enough to beat Yeovil without taxing principal players too much I don't really care if we put U8 girls to make up the bench because only 3 subs will play. We have enough possibilities within the group to cover most positions with just 3 subs.
  10. a much better idea, Laudrup is as good as gone (he had enough apparently) and there will be bargains there soon. I might even take Dyer as well.
  11. need a lot better than that I'm afraid. If Ings was that good clubs would be falling over themselves to sign him, he isn't and they aren't. The gulf between PL striking ability and NPC striking ability is huge. Remember Billy Sharp, Tadanari Lee and a host of other failures. To score goals in the PL you have to be good, very good because the defences and keepers are so much better than those in the NPC.
  12. Seems that their president may be forced to resign over the transfer of Neymar, told the socios it cost 57 million€ when really it seems to have cost 95 millions including giant hand-outs all round.
  13. Mata wasn't getting much game time either because Mourinho can't stand him as a player. So they get 37 million for him and cover the fees of Matic and Salah (11 million). With the sale of De Bruyne they might even show a + figure on a transfer window, not often that that happens at Chelsea.
  14. We'll probably end up either paying him to do nothing or subsidising his salary at some second rate Italian club then, good stand by the players though.
  15. wouldn't cut it in todays game, I mean Baird is what 31 and is about to be farmed out to Brighton. If he was the real deal we should be looking at signing him, Lescott must be about that age and clubs seem to be falling over to sign him, Distin is 35 or so and still a kingpiece in Everton's defence. As for Lundekvaam don't make me laugh. He was crap then, he'd be even worse now, a junky and alcoholic.
  16. Some EU governments are relaxing their efforts a bit are they not ? The 2020 goals will still be maintained but the 2030 targets are being lowered somewhat I believe. I'm not a climate change man by any means but that's what I understood from colleagues who are the other day.
  17. Certainly, I'd just as soon have Terry in the job. One of his wives was a friend of my late Mum. He also gave me a quid for mowing his lawn on bob a job, A quid was a kings ransom in those days, some scroogy buggers only gave you a tanner for about 2 hours work. I suppose bob-a-job would be illegal now, trade unions would class it as child labour.
  18. Well I wouldn't presume to answer for him but we do seem to have a few quite serious training ground injuries over the years although I suppose that must be quite common in professional football. It's not just the MP era either, don't think he was even here when Guly clobbered Gaston last season and put him out for a couple of months with some sort of aggravated dead-leg.
  19. Does he have the qualifications for such a role ? I wouldn't have though so, figurehead president instead of Terry Paine perhaps.
  20. Morgan turned down (well Cortese helped him) Sociedad last summer because he wanted to stay here and be part of the progress towards great things. They were offering about 16 million and of course European football, I do wonder if he's not regretting that now. It was documented somewhere or other, perhaps in one of the long interviews he gave to the French media when we were riding high what seems ages ago now. With all eyes on Griezmann at Real now you'd just have to wonder what he might have made of that chance.
  21. A wedgy then, strange thing to do to a team mate unless of course it was just an over exuberant goal celebration.
  22. I think the 20000 will include the 3200, seemed to be that way last time, as large parts of the stadium seem to be closed for this game can't be far from sold out surely.
  23. Indeed but does a player who's been out injured (or so they tell us) need to be taking overly muscled challenges from team-mates really, jeez we've enough trouble finding a decent side to put out against the Arse as it is without our own players contributing. Train hard OK but there have to be limits. There must have been some pre-existent animosity between the two of them surely.
  24. apparently the head of player recruitment, whoever that non-entity may be.
  25. Wouldn't count on it myself, seems to be getting near the rubicon unless we've done serious spade work beforehand. Two two month injuries,Osvaldo acting the idiot obviously trying to force his way out, no real strength in depth anywhere...yep we could certainly do with a signing of a decent player but I just doubt everything about the infrastructure of SFC needed to make it happen just now.
